That night Mike left. I felt cold without him, and I couldn't sleep. He was gone for a while but I could hear his voice from the other side of the wall; Vic's room. When he finally came back I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep. Mike's footsteps came closer until I felt his weight on the bed and his arm circle around my waist, pulling me back against his checks. His lips softly pressed against the back of my neck before I drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up I had a text from my mom telling me I had to help her out with moving things at work this afternoon. I replied and just lay with Mike until he woke up. "Goodmorning Tone." he murmured kissing me tiredly. "Morning." I yawned.
"Anything planned for today?" Mike asked, burying his face in my neck. "Uh...I have to help my mom out at work with moving some stuff this afternoon." I replied. "It's almost noon now, I should probably go see her." I said softly. "Okay. Call me later, we're going to the beach tomorrow. I understand if you want to catch up with her tonight as well." Mike mumbled rolling away from me so I could change out of my pyjamas. "Talk to you later, babe." Mike said, pulling me down for another kiss. "Bye." I smiled. Mike smiled back and I walked downstairs. Vivian, Victor Sr. and Vic were there I said my goodbyes before skating off to my mother's work.

Helping my mother at her art studio was always my favourite. Today was no different. She sent me up and down stairs carrying up canvases, skating to different art stores. It always have me time to think. Today I thought about Mike. I had fallen hard and fast once I broke his stone walls. I still get butterflies when he smiles at me, when he wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my shoulder or the back of my neck. As I was crossing the street to get to my moms studios to bring in a huge canvas it hit me. No not a car, but it felt like one. It was realization. I love Mike. I am head-over-heels in love with Mike. I rushed across the road and up into my moms building.

"Mom?" I said, opening her studio door.
"Mhm?" She replied, a paint brush in her mouth.
"I-I think I'm in love." I whispered. My mother turned to look at me. She took the brush out of her mouth and smiled. "How do you feel about it?" She asked.
"Like I have fluff instead of insides." I replied honestly. Mom smiled again. "Be careful with love. Sometimes it burns." She advised. I nodded.
"Do we have any Christmas dinner plans?" I asked, remembering Christmas Eve was the next day.
"The usual." mom replied, going back to her painting. "Here." She said, handing me 50 bucks. "Thanks for the help Tony." She said, kissing my cheek. I thanked her and skated home to find a bored looking Mike sitting on the front porch.

"Uh hey?" I laughed.
"Parents and Vic went out of town. They won't be home until tomorrow afternoon. Want to hang out?" he asked
I agreed and twenty minutes later we were making out on the sofa with Star Wars playing in the background.
