Me and my mom don't really celebrate Christmas. Its not really a big deal for us. I get her something small she gets me something small, then we cook a big breakfast and watch Star Wars all day, also mom had bought a cat which I spent the day with.
At about 11 o'clock at night I got a text from Mike.
I know it's late but come over?
x Mikey.I smiled and replied with okay. Then, I left my mom a note just in case and skated over to Mike's. Thankfully we lived in a nice neighbourhood so I wasn't scared of getting robbed. When I got there I had another text from Mike telling me to come around back. When I got there, Mike was on the roof. "Come on up." He said, gesturing to the nearby later. I nodded and climbed up. When I got to the roof Mike snaked an arm around my waist and pulled me close to him so I was laying on the slightly slanted roof with him. "Hey." He said softly, I could see his smile in the light of the moon. "Hey." I said, suddenly feeling shy all of a sudden. "You're so cute." Mike laughed, rolling over slightly so he could kiss me softly, cupping my face with one of his hands. "I wanted to look at the stars with you." Mike said, gazing up at the nights sky. I smiled and looked up as well.
While my eyes wandered the sky so did my mind. I realized that I had really fallen for this boy. He was, although flawed to others, perfect to me. Yes, he had a bad past because of his drugs and alcohol but he was really changed for the better. I could honestly say that I was in love with him, but that night, under the stars I didn't tell him. It wasn't the right time for us.
Then, my mind wandered to how he looked; breathtaking. Soft lips, brown eyes, thin sculpted face, strong arms that wrapped around me perfectly, calloused fingers from playing the drums that laced with mine in just the right way. I loved every aspect of him. The way he always absentmindedly played with my hair all the time, his smile, his voice. I loved it when I lay my head on his chest and listened to his steady heartbeat. Out of everything in my life and mind that was one constant thing that never left me, that kept my life in somewhat of an order. Mike was perfect.
