// so my main hoe becca (PTVaddicts ) finally decided to read this. she helped me a lot with this story tbh. I lov her and you should too. also I'm co writing a story with her called Partners In Crime. it's on her account so check that out! short again but if I didn't split this in two it would be way way way way too long and I don't like it when chapters take too long tbh.

:.:.:

I laughed, almost choking on my beer as Jaime dramatically (and rudely) one of the professors at the school. "Oh my god dude!" I exclaimed as he finished his act.
"Ha!" He said, cracking open another drink. "Let's go swimming!" He said enthusiastically after downing the entire can. I agreed as I was also sort of buzzed.

After changing into my bathing suit I let Jaime drag me down to the water. The sun was just beginning to set so the air was still quite warm and the sky was breath-taking. My trance was broken when I heard a thump and someone mutter "fuck". I looked down to see Jaime laying in the sand, looking disgruntled. "You okay there buddy?" I laughed, helping him up. Jaime laughed with me. "Okay now let's actually go in the water and not fall in the sand." He said, trying to play his idiotic move as cool. I laughed and shook my head before challenging Jaime to a race to the water.

"You know, Tony..." Jaime slurred a few hours later while we were drying off next to the campfire. Jaime had broken out the vodka about 10 minutes ago. "You're a really good guy. You can put up with Mike's fuckin weird mood swings. Even I get fed up with Mike sometimes." He said, pointing at me with a grin. I laughed and took another sip of the alcohol, wincing as it burned the back of my throat. "Yeah well, I love the guy." I said, passing the bottle back to Jaime. For the first time in a while I had begun to really feel happy. It was a strange feeling, practically alien after everything that had happened, but God, I wanted it to stay, and as I fell asleep in the tent with Jaime that night, I found myself praying to every deity I could think of in my sluggish buzzed mind that the feeling of happiness would stay.

The morning after me and Jaime both woke up with only a dry mouth and a throbbing head. I silently thanked myself for not drinking too much because we had to get back to the school. Jaime, who was a bit more hungover than me, decided that he was too hungover to drive and that he should sleep it off so I drove us back to the school after packing up all of our camp site.
