In hindsight, taking acid before painting something that will be in an art exhibit is probably not the best idea.

George had been coming down from his high when Dream showed up on Sunday, and he found himself becoming more and more sober as time passed. This scared George, as he fears that being sober around Dream will show his true feelings and emotions that he's been trying to hide. So the way to return to his high was through begging Dream to smoke with him.

In reality, George enjoys spending time with Dream. What he doesn't enjoy is being sober, though, so he's backed into a corner as of what to do. He understands that he's fucked up, but can't find it in himself to care enough to make a change.

Now it's Thursday and Dream has been acting differently around him. Dream seems to be losing his temper more, holding back for some reason. He treats George like a ticking time bomb, and the brunette doesn't like that. It feels like his home life again, where everyone cautiously avoided him.

Looking at their most recent painting, George can tell the way Dream must've been struggling to blend everything together well. And it's all his fault for the blonde's struggles. George's hands moved on his own and his brain switched to autopilot when he painted. This much is evident through the mess of colors and illusions. It makes George feel bad, not enough to apologize, though, as apologizing would mean admitting what happened. Besides, the painting isn't bad or anything, just different than the others.

In all honesty, George doesn't know exactly what feelings he has for the blonde, he just knows they're overwhelming. He'd rather get drunk or high than deal with them, and maybe Dream is right for distancing himself. He shouldn't have to deal with George's baggage, his addiction, any of it.

George finds himself struggling to finish his and Dream's group project. On Monday he was given a partner assignment that is to create a sketch of his favorite thing about himself, then have his partner, Dream, color it in. He hasn't found much inspiration or motivation to draw anything, so he's been putting it off all week. It's safe to say that this has annoyed Dream.

Dream practically ignores George for the whole lunch period. George doesn't know what he did wrong, besides maybe not finishing the project yet.

His time alone after lunch and class just allows him to focus on his work. He has many neglected assignments that he hasn't found the motivation to complete recently.

While George sits on his usual bench, completing his missing assignments, he looks around for Dream. Usually the blonde spends his time sitting across the path from him, either reading a book or scrolling through something on his phone. Now, though, he isn't here at all, and George has mixed feelings about that. On one hand, Dream's absence allows him to focus on his schoolwork and not the complicated emotions he feels when around the blonde, but on the other hand he wants to see Dream.

George works on completing his sketch, finding it difficult to think of something he loves about himself. He considers just drawing something to do with art, but decides to draw something shallow instead. Something no one would question him about. Something easy.

After drawing, he puts everything away and starts to stand up until someone blocks his view. Looking up, George sees Aidan staring down at him and the brunette's eyes widen as he stands up to put distance between them.

"What do you want?" George asks, eyes narrow.

"I wanted to talk to you," Aidan says, and George feels apprehensive of what's to come.

"About what?" George asks, and he wonders why he's even giving him the time of day. Yet still, the two of them sit down on the bench.

"I wanted to apologize. I know I was wrong to cheat on you," Aidan says. George looks at him, unable to tell if he's genuine or not.
