What the fuck?
Dream finds himself staring at the sight.
George and Aidan are kissing in the middle of a group of people. What the hell is going on?
He looks away as soon as George catches glimpse of him, and quickly walks back to his dorm room.
Once inside, Dream immediately finds himself crying. He doesn't know when he became so emotional, so attached to George, but now he finds that all he can do is collapse against the door and cry his heart out. He feels hopeless, stupid, for thinking George felt the same way.
"Dream?" Sapnap says from the bed. He stands up and his eyes widen upon seeing Dream, rushing over to him. "Dream, what's wrong?"
Sapnap pulls Dream to his feet and takes him to the bed, sitting next to him. Dream only cries more, not giving a coherent response.
Dream calms down after a little while, wiping his tears and breaking away from Sapnap's hug.
"Are you going to tell me what's wrong now?" Sapnap asks, voice quiet and gentle.
"Nothing, it's fine," Dream says, shaking his head. The last thing he wants to do is worry Sapnap about his problems when he has his own to deal with.
"It's clearly not," Sapnap says, to which Dream doesn't reply to. "Just tell me when you're ready."
This sounds an awful lot like the conversation Dream had with George, which only makes him start crying again.
He eventually composes himself enough to get out of bed and do his schoolwork.
Dream doesn't want to go to Punz's frat's party tonight. Sapnap does, though, which means the two of them are now on their way to self sabotage at a party where both the boys that broke their hearts will definitely be.
What could go wrong?
The blonde mentally says 'fuck it' and goes all out with his outfit. He doesn't know who exactly he's trying to impress, though he has a pretty good idea. Dream wears an oversized white band tee, a black turtleneck long sleeve shirt under it, a belt with a chain attached to it, four rings that he thought made his hands look hot, and a pair of black and white converse. He also decides to wear black eyeliner on his lower lash line—which, with his luck, will probably be ruined by tears by the end of the night.
Sapnap drags him out, the two purchasing alcohol on their way there. This is the perk of looking older than 21, buying as much alcohol as they want at the gas station right off of campus.
"You ready for this?" Sapnap says as they make it to the door.
"No, but I'm going in anyway," Dream says, pushing the large door open and walking inside.
Everything looks fine at first. It looks normal, though Dream understands that there are layers beneath its normalcy.
Luckily Punz is the first one that catches sight of Dream and Sapnap, that the two know of, that is.
"You bitches are late as always!" Punz says, flinging arms around the two boys. "I don't know why I even try looking for you two before midnight."
"That's all on you, dumbass," Sapnap quips back, causing the short blonde to pinch his hair.
"How have you two been recently? We haven't talked much and I've missed you," Punz says, looking back and forth between the two boys.
"Sappy here is heartbroken, but I've been doing fine," Dream says, finding that it's easier to lie and mask his true feelings with alcohol in his system. It always has been.
