Bella and Carlisle Cullen

Spending the day together!

Bella POV

I wake to the sun coming through the large window. The shadows of the lace curtains flutter around the room. Carlisle walks in with a grin on his face. He sits himself on the side of my bed. "So what would you like to do today?" He asks as he pulls me closer to him and kisses my forehead. "Where is Alice, Jasper and Esme? We could all go out for the day." I say egerly hoping they are still here, I don't think being alone with Carlisle the whole day won't be that bad though. "They have gone to hunt. So we have the place to ourselves." He gives a quick smile and darts to another room. 

I pull myself out of bed and dash down the stairs to find Carlisle sitting on the couch. He has a chess board in front of him and two champagne glasses one filled with coke the other is clearly some sort of animal blood for him, the fact he got me coke is nice because I don't drink. I sit by his side and he pulls me closer. "What are you doing?" I ask curious about hte chess board. "I am going to teach you to play. That is if you want to?" He says as he walks to their radio and puts on some slow music and returns to my side. "You can try to teach me, I won't be very good though" I say as he wraps his arms around me and we begin to play. For hours we play well he plays and well I lose. 

By the time Alice, Jasper and Esme return home he has given up on chess and is now trying to teach me to dance. Failing might I add. As the others walk in Alice and Jasper quickly join us. Esme sits herself on the couch looking rather conflicted. Part of her seems happy the other seems sad. Quickly I whisper as quietly as I can "offer her a dance Carlisle, I need a break anyway." "Are you sure my love?" he asks looking puzzling back at me. "Yes Carlisle, I am sure." I say as I give him a quick kiss and walk over to join Esme. Carlisle quickly follows holding his hand out to her. She looks to me and I nod smiling. 

I watch as they dance gracefully across the room. Not even stumbling once, they are so in sinc. I quietly think to myself, how can I break them up, they are perfect together. I am careful to watch my emotions as I know Jasper can tell what I feel. I look at them and smile as the song comes to an end, Alice and Jasper dart off to their room and Carlisle and Esme join me on the couch. Esme gives me a smile and I turn to Carlisle who pulls out a small black box.
