Bella and Carlisle Cullen

Together for the day!

Carlisle POV

I hear her moving around, she must be waking. My angel finally awake. I walk in with a grin on my face. I sit myself on the side of her bed. "So what would you like to do today?" I ask as I pull her closer to me and kiss her forehead. "Where is Alice, Jasper and Esme? We could all go out for the day." She asks. "They have gone to hunt. So we have the place to ourselves." I give a quick smile and dart down stairs. 

Knowing she is following I place myself on the couch. I put the chess board in front of me and fill two champagne glasses one filled with coke the other animal blood for me. She sits at my side and I pull her closer. "What are you doing?" she asks. "I am going to teach you to play. That is if you want to?" I say as I walks to the radio and put on some slow music and return to her side. "You can try to teach me, I won't be very good though" she says as I wrap my arms around her as we begin to play. I think to myself that teaching her to play is going to be hard so I decide to teach her to dance, as ALice, Jasper and Esme arrive home.

This seems to be a lot harder then I thought, as the others walk in Alice and Jasper quickly join us. Esme sits herself on the couch looking rather conflicted. Part of her seems happy the other seems sad. Quickly Bella whispers as quietly as she can "offer her a dance Carlisle, I need a break anyway." "Are you sure my love?" I asks looking puzzled. "Yes Carlisle, I am sure." she say as she gives me a quick kiss and walks over to join Esme. I quickly follow holding my hand out to Esme. She looks to Bella and who nods at her smiling.. 

I feel Bella watching as we dance gracefully across the room. Not even stumbling once, we are so in sinc. I quietly think to myself, how can I hurt Esme and edward like this. I am careful to watch my emotions as I know Jasper can tell what I feel. As the song comes to an end, Alice and Jasper dart off to their room and Esme and I join Bella on the couch. Esme gives Bella a smile and Bella turns to me as I pull out a small black box. Will she accept it? I hope she likes it, I spent so long deciding.
