"I'm finally outside after all. Let's use the open space" Sukuna exclaimed enthusiastically, stuffing his hands in his pockets. You and Megumi both charged at him, aiming to kick him in his head but he easily dodged. You tried to copy Megumi's movements to make it more difficult for Sukuna to block and dodge but your efforts seemed fruitless. It was like Sukuna wasn't even trying and he had this shit eating grin plastered on his lips.
Oh, how much you wanted to punch him and wipe that cocky smile off his face.
Sending numerous punches at his direction, you and Megumi both raised your legs, finally landing two hard kicks on the male's abdomen. He stumbled a few feet and made an amused humming sound, looking at you two.
"Interesting. You use shikigami, but you'll still come at me yourselves, while also synchronizing your attacks?" Sukuna mused as your shikigami both dived down, attacking him while you kept sending punches and kicks at him.
He grabbed your fist and threw you over his head as you landed harshly, rolling on the ground while Megumi kept attacking him. You stood up and jumped in the air, swinging your leg onto Sukuna's head as he chuckled.
"That was a little predictable, little maggot, but it was a hard kick nevertheless. Well done both of you!" he praised as you both kept attacking.
"Phoenix!" you yelled at your shikigami, which immediately reached your level. You climbed onto it's back and it lifted you up in the air, right above the two fighting males. Just as Sukuna punched Megumi in the face with his eyes glowing a bright crimson, you jumped out of your shikigami, trying to hit the curse. He barely moved at of the way, your leg still connecting with his chest as he stumbled backwards.
"And quick to think during battles? Wow, you really are amazing for a mere human, little maggot!" he said excited, grinning like a psychopath. Megumi took advantage of the distraction you created, silently thankful for the perfect timing, as he summoned Orochi, the giant, white snake shikigami which grabbed Sukuna in its mouth, lifting him high up in the air.
"Gang up on him!" Megumi yelled at Nue.
"Help them Phoenix!" you ordered your shikigami as well and they both obeyed, attacking the curse with both lightning hits and blue flame attacks. Sukuna wasn't affected in the slightest though and ripped Orochi in half and then jumped in the air, grabbing your shikigami. He cut off Phoenix's left wing like it was a piece of paper, the bird-like shikigami releasing a pained scream.
You and Megumi gasped at the sight of your shikigami being destroyed like that. Unfortunately Fushiguro didn't get to save Orochi but you swang your hand quickly, your shikigami disappearing before it could be completely destroyed as you silently begged for it to be okay. The presence standing behind you didn't go unnoticed and especially by Megumi. Sukuna had grabbed his shirt and calmly started speaking.
