The next day, after your agreement to participate in the upcoming event, you and Nobara went out in the training field to practice with the second years. Megumi was nowhere to be seen but he had informed that he would propably be late due to 'some stuff that needed to be done' as he himself said. Wearing a simple, light grey tracksuit with a matching hoodie for more agility, you met Nobara outside the dormitory building.
"Good morning Nobara-chan" you greeted the orange haired girl who offered you a small smile. "Good morning (Y/N)-chan . How're you feeling?" the girl questioned as the two of you started walking towards the training field.
"I'm okay, Nobara-chan" you answered and looked up at the blue, sunny sky. White, fluffy clouds traveled in a slow pace as you took in a deep breath, basking the sun rays that warmed your skin. The girl next to you looked at your expression, seeing how you were seemingly fine. She debated on whether she should ask how you genuinely felt, and especially after the recent events, but was a little hesitant, afraid that she might pray to much.
"(Y/N)-chan? " the girl called out your name looking straight ahead, as you hummed and looked at her. "I...I'm sorry about what happened in the Detention Center with Itadori" the girl exclaimed and your features immediately froze, becoming colder at the mention of Yuji.
"I knew you two were close. When I heard that he was...gone I tried to play it cool, thinking that I didn't know him enough to mourn about his passing. But...I came to realize that, no matter how long you've known someone, you can still feel sad when something bad happens to them. To be honest I thought that you were stupid and weak for being this depressed about someone you barely knew but then again, he still was your friend. You had every right to feel this way" Kugisaki exclaimed as you looked at her, noticing how her bottom lip slightly trembled, indicating that she was on the verge of tears.
"You may be right" you exclaimed making the girl turn to look at you. You averted your eyes to the side, hiding your red eyes. "I didn't know him that much. Two weeks isn't enough time for someone to call a total stranger a friend" you exclaimed and looked back at the girl with a small smile tagging on your lips.
"But two weeks is enough for me. I wouldn't change them for the world and I'm grateful that I got to spend that time with him. Same goes for you. I appreciate each and every moment I get to spend with you, or with Megumi, or with the second years"
