"I'm never going to the mall with you ever again" you groaned rubbing your tired eyes as you took a sip out of your canned coffee. You, Megumi and Nobara had all went to buy a few drinks from the vending machines, 'running errands' like Maki had said.
"Don't act like you didn't have fun. Besides, you owed me for all the 'falling exercises' I went through yesterday" Nobara retorted raising a challenging eyebrow at you as she sarcastically emphasized her words.
"We went to the mall and then you dragged me all the way to Ura-Hara, and let me tell you something. My feet still hurt. How is this me having fun?" you exclaimed rubbing your sore knee with a sleepy expression.
"Whatever. At least now we are even" Nobara exclaimed with a smirk as you glared at her. "Couldn't they put in a few more vending machines?" she complained turning to look at you and Megumi, with her drink in hand.
"They can't. There are only so many workers who can come here" Megumi explained as Nobara opened the can, taking a long sip out of her drink. Two figures approaching the three of you caught your attention. When you turned to look at them, your face immediately fell as you furrowed your eyebrows, glaring at the girl standing a few feet away from you.
A tall, buff man was standing there along with a girl next to him. His dark hair were pulled up in a messy-bun hairstyle, and a scar littered the right side of his forehead, all the way down to his cheekbone. The lean, tall girl standing next to him was someone you didn't actually cherished. She had short, black hair and features that reassembled an all too familiar second-year friend of yours.
"Way to ruin my day Mai" you exclaimed with a disinterested face, sending daggers at the black haired girl, who had an infuriating smirk on her face.
The two of you never got along. She would always harass or bully you just for being around her sister. She knew the two of you were close and whenever she got the chance she would send snarky comments your way or find ways to embarrass you, knowing that it would annoy Maki.
"What are you doing here, Zenin-senpai?" Megumi questioned as you scoffed, tightly clenching your fists. "Destroying people's mood, that's what she's doing" you commented with sarcasm lacing your words.
"Oh, she's one, too? They do seem similar. Are they sisters? " Nobara questioned looking at Fushiguro as you crossed your arms over your chest. "Unfortunately" you exclaimed, staring down at the girl who kept smiling smugly at the three of you.
"They're twins" Megumi said as Mai chuckled, shaking her head. "Missed me (Y/N)-chan? You're just as I remember you, an annoying little brat. Also, don't call me that, Fushiguro-kun. You make me sound the same as Maki. Call me Mai" she mused, winking at the three of you as you clicked your tongue. The booming voice of the boy next to her caught your attention.
