Caleb and the King had spent weeks, planning, scheming how they would get Ami back.

A spy was sent to Wisingham's Palace and had reported that he was in the left wing of the castle, where guests were resting.

Greg didn't understand why he wasn't in prison. Maybe he had revealed his identity as his brother and Wisingham wanted to exchange his life for the territory.

No matter the price, he was ready to pay it.
They won the war and were still alive only thanks to his brother and even if it wasn't the case, he'd be ready to give up anything to have him back home.

The Queen understood what he was thinking. Every night, she saw his long eyelashes' silhouette as he was wide awake, wile she was laying next to him.

She was ready to pay any price for her kingdom, even sacrifice her own brothers. But it wasn't her husband's case.

When he hesitantly proposed her the idea, knowing that she would never accept, she accepted at his biggest surprise.

The men that she thought would be her strength had become her weakness. She was ready to give up anything for the two brothers.

They would be strong and would be able to keep their kingdom standing after giving up those lands. But nothing could replace his brother for Greg. She wasn't strong enough to refuse.

As they made a decision, they had to write an official message to Wisingham, proposing just that.

For that, they needed the other noble's agreement: the Queen, no matter her power, had no right to communicate with other kings or give up her lands without the Noble's accord.

It would be harder than expected.

A loud noise filled the room, people protested, pointed fingers. It was a real chaos.

"Giving up our lands for one person? And he's not even royalty? Ridiculous!"

"He is royalty! He's my brother-in-law!"

The voices got even louder.

"He's a war hero! Only thanks to him are you living now and our army is standing!" Greg was furious.

"A war hero is ready to sacrifice their life for this country! We will all remember him that way!"

The King's hand got on his sword's handle, furious. He'd make the man's head fly if a gentle hand didn't manage to calm him down.

"You, despicable, ungrateful basta..."

A sudden intrusion stooped the noise as a messenger entered the room, covered in sweat.

"Your Royal Highnesses! Knight Amiel Leonheart is back! He's heading towards the capital!"
