Christmas Potion

Andy's POV

Since the dueling club. Justin Finch-Fletchley has been petrified along with Nearly Headless Nick. Now everyone thinks Harry is the heir of Slytherin. Except for us slytherins. Anyway Hermione has been acting really strange recently.

It's Christmas day. I spent the whole time with Draco and his friends. As Hermione and her two friends had disappeared. Not many of us have stayed for the holidays. Due to the attacks. Anyway with the present I got from Hermione was a note saying to meet her in the library so that we can hang out.

So I went to the library all excited about seeing my best friend. But she wasn't at our usual desk. Or anywhere else in the library. I look at Coco, who is perched on my shoulders. "Guess she forget" I say sadly. I head back to the common room to see Draco talking to Crabbe and Goyle.

"You know I haven't, Goyle, how many times do I have to tell you?" Draco asks him. "I thought you were meeting Granger?" he says when he sees me.

"She wasn't there, honestly she's acting so strange recently. Distant" I say sadly as I sit down next to him.

"You should dump her and focus on making true friends in our house" he tells me.

"No, I'm sure it's just because of the attacks. Besides I should focus on my studies, if I want to stay here next year" I tell him.

"Oh right dad's ultimatum" he says. "Anyway Goyle, Father won't tell me anything about the last time the Chamber was opened either. Of course, it was fifty years ago, so it was before his time. But he knows all about it, and he says that it was all kept quiet and it'll look suspicious if I know too much about it. But I know one thing. Last time the Chamber of Secrets was opened, a Mudblood died. So I bet it's a matter of time before one of them's killed this time" he states.

"Draco you know I hate that word" I snap whacking him in the head. "Besides last time they didn't have Dumbledore as Head Master, so I doubt anyone will die" I state. Suddenly Crabbe and Goyle get up running away. I notice Crabbe's hair turning red and frown. "Draco I'm gonna go to the loo, then we can play some chess" I tell him.

"I'll set it up" he tells me. I left and run to the entrance hall. I spot two running figures heading for Myrtle's bathroom. I run inside.

"Hermione come out, we have loads to tell you!" Harry shouts.

"Go away" Hermione shouts from a cubicle.

"Wait until you see, it's awful" Myrtle says with a giggle. The boys open the cubicle door to reveal a cat Hermione.

"Remember when I said Polyjuice potion is only for human transformations? Look at my face" Hermione tells them.

"Look at your tail" Ron says.

"Well it serves you right" I state and they all look at me. "If you really thought my brother was the heir. Why didn't you ask me?" I demand. "I would of told you, no one in my family has ever been a parsel mouth and we have no connection to Salazar Slytherin. Now while I take Hermione to the hospital wing. Why don't you both contemplate this? If you thought Draco was the heir, that'd make me one too. As I'm his twin sister. Do you really think I'm the heir?" I ask them.

I leave the bathroom with Hermione. "I'm sorry" she says meekly.

"You can make it up to me, by hanging out with me again. I miss my sister from another mother" I tell her.

"I will and we can study together" she states. We reach the hospital wing and I take the blame for making the potion. Madame Pomfrey turned Hermione back to normal. But she started to couch up furballs.

"I'm afraid you'll have to remain here until you stop coughing up furballs dear" Madame Pomfrey tells her. "I shall send a note to your head of house and he shall decide your punishment" she tells me. "Now return to your dorm" she adds.

"Yes Madame Pomfrey, see you Hermione. I'll bring you homework and help you study" I tell her. She smiles and we wish each other a Merry Christmas & good night. I left and returned to the common room.

"You took forever, what happened?" Draco asks me.

"Ran into Hermione, she has the flu and over slept. She apologized and is now in the hospital wing" I tell him. He nods his head and we begin to play.

"Check" he says as Professor Snape appears.

"Andromeda, a word" he drawls.

"Sure thing Professor" I say and knock over Draco's knight. "Check mate" I say and go outside with Professor Snape. "What's my punishment?" I ask him.

"Detention for four days, starting after tomorrow. Don't worry, I've made sure this does not get to your father" he tells me. "Now, it's past curfew. Return to your dorm" he tells me.

"Well do and Merry Christmas professor" I say before returning to the common room. "Good night Draco, don't stay up to late" I tell my brother. He says good night back and I go to my dorm. To see my dorm mates already asleep. I change into my pjs and do my teeth. Before calling it a night.
