Andy's POV
So I was flown to school by an Abraxan. It was a fun trip, though a little lonely without my friends to talk too. During the flight I went over my class schedule and read my Alchemy book. When I reached the school I was greeted by Fleur, who lead me to the dining chamber. Where she introduced me to some of her friends and then some students my age, I'd share classes with. Along with dorm for the year.
The first week went well. I made some friends with m class/dorm mates. I heard from Hermione about her first week at Hogwarts. Apparently their new defense teacher Professor Lupin was amazing. They best Defense teacher they've had in years and I don't get to taught by him. The first listen was on Boggarts, kind of glad I missed that. Apparently according to their divination teacher, Harry is going to die. According to Professor McGonagall, Professor Trelawney predicts the death of one student each time she meets a new class. Tonks agreed with her.
During their first Care of Magical Creatures class. Draco ignored Hagrid's warning and insulted a hippogriff call Buckbeak. Draco ended up with a hurt arm and he complained to dad. Needless to say, Hermione sent me a long letter.
Anyway my time at Beauxbatons was nowhere near as exciting. Made me miss Hogwarts even more. At least school wasn't dull there. Halloween was different at Beauxbatons. It was celebrated for three days and was a mix between Day of the Dead & All Saints Day. I enjoyed it, but missed the traditional Halloween feast of Hogwarts. Hermione told me about the break in and how Sirius Black slashed the Fat Lady's portrait. So the whole school slept in the great hall together while the school was searched.
When the Christmas holidays came around. My dad wouldn't let me go to Hogwarts, due to Sirius Black in the area. So instead of going home to spend Christmas with my family. I stayed at Beauxbatons for Christmas. The dining chamber was filled with ice sculptures that glittered like diamonds in the candle lit chamber. And they didn't melt. While we ate, we were serenaded by wood nymphs.
Hermione sent me a letter on Boxing Day to tell me about her Christmas day. And how Harry & Ron were angry at her for telling McGonagall about the firebolt Harry had gotten. Which had no note. I told her she did the right thing and I supported her decision.
The school term started up again. I studied for my exams. With the help of Fleur and my dorm mates. I was pretty confident I'd be allowed to return to Hogwarts next year. My grades have neither improved or gotten worse since coming here. Though I got better feed back from my teachers at Hogwarts. Mum told me if my grades stay where they are and if Sirius Black is captured. Or sighted a long why from Hogwarts, I could go back next year.
Exams came and I think I did pretty good. The exams I was worried most about were Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures and Alchemy. But I'm sure I passed them all. Though I wish we had a practical side of the exams. It was all just theory. Whereas at Hogwarts, those in my year got to face an obstacle course for their DADA exam. In Potions they brew a Confusing Concoction, they had to complete several hard tasks in Transfiguration. One of them was turning a tea pot into a tortoise. And in Care of Magical Creatures they actually got to look after magical creature for an hour. Even though it was only a flobber-worm.
The end of year feast was great. I won't lie, a part of me will miss Beauxbatons. But I also can't wait to return to Hogwarts. But first I had a fun filled summer to look forward to. Starting with a weekend at Hermione, where she had a big secret to tell me. I was then going to go see Aunt Andromeda. After that Professor Snape and I'd choose my elective classes for my fourth and fifth year at Hogwarts.
Then towards the end of the summer. I'd go to the Quidditch world cup with Draco and our father. It'll be Bulgaria VS Ireland. We'd been invited to sit with the Minister in the Minister Box for the match. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. Right now I'm saying goodbye to the new friends, I had made.
"Tu promets d'écrire, oui?" Fleur asks me. (Translation: you promise to write, yes?)
"Oui" I say. (Translation: yes). "Seras-tu à la coupe du monde?" I ask my friends. (Translation: will you be at the world cup?).
"Oui, on se voit là-bas?" three of them asks.
"Bien sûr" I assure them. (Translation: of course). "J'ai hâte de tous vous voir alors" I tell them. (Translation: I look forward to seeing you all then). They agree. I hugged them all goodbye and boarded my carriage with Coco in my arms. Odette flew beside the carriage until she grew tired. She flew in through the window and rested in her cage for the rest of the flight home.
