Official Meeting Ginny Weasley

Andromeda's POV

It's time to go to school. I sent Odette ahead and had mum shrink her cage. Which I placed in my pocket. I then placed Coco in his carrier. He and Odette have got along well. Odette also gets on well with Draco's owl Budo. "You ready?" Draco asks.

"Yes" I tell him and grab my packed trunk. I grab the cat carrier in the other and we head downstairs. Where our parents are waiting. We go outside and get into the ministry of magic cars waiting for us. They drives us to the station.

We made our way quickly through the muggle section and onto platform 9 3/4s. "Andromeda, have fun and please don't forget to write" mum tells me.

"I won't and I'll make sure Draco writes also" I assure her. We hug and she then hugs Draco. Father tells us to study hard and that he would be at Draco's first match. Turns out he got Draco a Nimbus 2001 along with one for everyone else on the Slytherin team. We'll be hard to beat this year.

Draco and I board the train before going our separate ways. I find Hermione in a compartment with a red haired girl. I recognize her as the Weasley girl. "Hermione" I say smiling.

"Andy" she says and hugs me.

"I am so sorry about my father" I tell her. As the train leaves the station.

"It's fine" she tells me. "Anyway this is Ginny Weasley, she is starting this year" she adds. "Ginny, this is Andromeda Malfoy. But we in gryffindor call her Andy" she says introducing us.

"Hello, I am sorry about my father" I tell her.

"It's ok" she mumbles. "So you are friends with Hermione and Gryffindors?" she asks me.

"Yes, Hermione is my best friend. I hang with her, Harry and Ron often" I tell her smiling. "Speaking of Harry and Ron, where are they?" I ask Hermione.

"No idea" she tells me

"They were to come through the barrier after mum and I. But we did not stay to see as we were late" Ginny explains.

"They are probably in an other compartment" I state. I let Coco out and he immediately goes to Hermione for pats. "Spoiled cat" I say with a chuckle.

"There you are Andy" Seamus says as he appears with Dean and Neville.

"We were looking for you" Dean states.

"We're going to have a wizard chess competition and were looking for you & Ron" Seamus explains.

"Well Ron is not here, but I'll join you boys later" I tell them.

"Great" Dean says with a smile.

"Did you have a good summer?" Neville asks me.

"I did, sorry we didn't hang out more" I tell them. "Anyway before you guys leave, allow me to introduce you to someone. Guys this is Ginny, she is Ron's sister" I say. "Ginny these are Ron's dorm mates Neville Longbottom, Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnagan" I state.

"Pleasure" she says shyly.

"Hope you're in gryffindor" Dean tells her smiling.

"The best house, no offense Andy" Seamus adds.

"None taken" I assure him.

"We'll see you later Andy, nice to meet you Ginny" Neville says. Then the boys leave. Hermione starts to read one of Lockhart's books. Ginny writes in a dairy. So I pull out Standard Book of Spells, Grade 2 and my wand. Then start to read it while practicing wrist movements.

"Andromeda, Coco is not a full cat is he?" Ginny asks me.

"No, he is a full Kneazel. I wanted a part Kneazel, but my parents would not have their daughter have a half breed" I explain. "But I love Coco no less" I add smiling as I stroke a sleeping Coco. He'd moved from Hermione's lap and curled up beside me.

"I'm surprised your father lets you be friends with Gryffindors and Hermione" she states.

"I'd be disowned if he knew" I tell her.

"So he does not know?" she asks me.

"Yep, only Draco and mum know. They keep it secret from him" I state. "He may not be the best father, but I love him. I don't want to lose him or anyone else in my family" I explain.

"Must be hard, not being able to be yourself in front of him. Especially with how he treated Hermione in the book shop" she says.

"It was hard, but I want to keep both my family and friends as long as possible" I tell her. "It must be hard being the only girl with six brothers" I say. "I mean, my own brother gets annoying. I couldn't imagine having five more" I state.

"It can be, but at least I have my own room. But I do feel lonely without a sister" she tells me.

"I understand, I feel the same way sometimes. But at least I have Hermione and my cousin Tonks" I tell her. "You can be our little sister, right Hermione?" I ask her smiling.

"I've always wanted a sister" Hermione says smiling.

"It's settled then, we'll be sisters for life" I declare.

"Thank you" Ginny says with a wary smile. The food trolley lady appears. I get us each something. I eat my cauldron cake and sugar quill. Before leaving to hang out with the boys.

"Hey Andy, did you see the flying Ford Anglia out the window earlier?" Neville asks me.

"No, why?" I ask curious.

"There was one out the window about ten minutes ok" Dean states.

"Someone was hanging out of it" Seamus adds.

"Oh my, was the person ok?" I ask them.

"Yes, the person was pulled back in" Seamus assures me.

"Look, there it is" Neville says pointing. I look out and sure enough there it was. A flying blue Ford Anglia. Skimming over the green grassy hills following the train. I squint as look through the window of the car.

"Is that Harry?" I ask shocked.

"Really?" they ask and join me in looking out the window.

"I think she's right" Dean states.

"But why are they flying to school? Where did they get the car?" Neville asks.

"I think Ron's dad owns a Ford Anglia" I tell them. "Ginny said they were real late getting here, maybe they couldn't get through the barrier for some reason" I say.

"Maybe, but why didn't Harry just owl the school?" Seamus asks.

"Or wait for Ron's parents?" Neville adds.

"No idea, but they are going to be in trouble when they reach Hogwarts" I tell them. "Anyway, who am I facing first?" I ask turning away from the window.

"Me" Dean says and we sit down setting up the board. He goes first moving a white knight. I then move a black pawn. I win in twelve moves. Then faced the other two. I beat Neville and nearly lost to Seamus. But won in the end with only three piece left aside from my king.
