enchiladas

I'm finally off of work, dreadfully I should say. Lukas has been gone for almost the entirety of the day. Except for him picking me up this morning. He said he had some important business to attend to.

For the majority of the day I sat in my office and did a few miniature things. I also caught up on my shopping, browsing a few websites to get some bikinis, business wear, and outfits.

I walk out of the elevator, trying to figure out a way to avoid Chris. I take a peek over at his desk to find that he isn't talking to anyone. I huff, and try my best to look discreet as I sneak over to the sliding doors.

Just as I expected he looks up and catches me before I can escape out of the doors. "Hey Bailey, quick question." Chris calls, waving his hand to acknowledge me.

Darn it.

I smile at him and wave back, walking over to meet him at his desk. I nod my head for him to ask his question. "So, about our date," he starts, "I'm really hoping this doesn't bother you," he adds, "But it's enchilada night at that restaurant we visited last time."

"You know, uh the restaurant called" he says combing through his blonde hair thinking to himself, "Valentina's."

Instantly the memories come back to me, and I realize that I don't want to go there. I don't need a repeat of last time. This time around, I might not be so open to accept a date again.

But honestly, I feel like I have no choice, he seems so excited about it and I don't want to be a party pooper. "Yeah, that's fine with me." I lie.

Chris smiles, and lets out a breath, "Thank God, I thought you were going to be pissed." he says, moving his hair out of his face. "Alright 7:00. I'll be at your doorstep."

I nod my head and say a quick goodbye before turning and leaving out the door. I'm kind of okay with the change of plans. I'm pretty sure Lukas won't be at the restaurant this time, he's been pretty booked up today with business and meetings.

I have on a blue and white-spotted sleeveless sundress. It's tight around my waist which creates a flowy look on the frilly bottom of the hem. I combined the dress with a sheer white shawl, and some pretty white and silver bottom heels to complete the look. My hair is up into a neat ponytail, with a few tendrils of my dark brown hair hanging from the sides of my edgeline.

I hear a honk and I'm pretty sure I already know who that is. I grab my purse to walk outside, I notice that I'm not as excited for the date like I was the last time. It's kind of disappointing. I just hope he doesn't embarrass me.

Chris is standing by my car door when I make my way to the passenger side. "Good evening, beautiful." he says suavely, opening my door. He leans in, I'm pretty sure to land a peck on my cheek.

I smile at him, "Good evening to you as well." I say. At the same time, I slip inside of the opened car door quickly, dodging the kiss he tries to plant on my cheek. Chris' smile drops and he closes the door behind me. He walks around and slips into the driver side of his Mustang.

The car ride is silent to Valentina's except for some occasional small talk about the scenery or the music. We arrive at the restaurant 15 minutes later. Before he gets the chance to open my door I hop out and close it for myself. I'm trying to avoid any romantic encounters even though we are on a date.

Chris meets my side after locking his car. A red haired woman is at the door to greet us. She looks as if she's in her mid-thirties.

I get a sense of deja vu as Chris says the same thing as he did last time, "Table for two."
