"Oh now you're trying to play Mr. Tough guy, eh?" the man shouts, slurring his words. "I'm not fucking afraid of you, man."
I can't stop myself from thinking that the man should be afraid. Even I am afraid of what Lukas is capable of after seeing Micheal's condition at the hotel. If Lukas could do that to Micheal, I don't think Lukas would bat an eye at beating this stranger to a pulp.
The thought of Lukas getting violent gives me chills, and although it exhilarates me to see him like this, my morals will always win in the end. "Come on, gimme all you got." The drunk raises his hands up in a fighting pose, setting his eyes on Lukas. The man's mouth is curved in a tight grimace, and if I didn't know what Lukas was capable of I would be laughing along with the crowd at his pose.
Lukas' fists start to clench, his veins becoming more visible in his forearms as his blood pressure rises, "One" he starts to count slowly. The man pushes at his chest, "Show me what you got" the drunk prods at Lukas. Lukas doesn't budge but still contains his anger, taking in a breath, "Two" Lukas lets go of his collar, allowing the man to leave if he wishes. Still the man stands in front of Lukas' with a smug expression.
Lukas gives the man a few extra seconds before saying "Three." Lukas' eyes get dark, like something otherworldly is about to come out of him. I notice the fear that settles in the other man's eyes, and he tries to back up, but before he can leave, Lukas lands the hardest punch I've ever seen thrown in my life to the man's face. The drunk staggers back, the weight of the punch pulling him to the ground.
The crowd catches rise of the scene before them, and I hear gasps throughout the club. Lukas climbs over the man's body landing more punches to his face. The people around me crowd around the scene, a few shouts sprouting throughout the place. Girls are squealing and some are running away from the scene, while others are egging Lukas on. After a while, I hear the panic arise in the crowd's murmurs when they realize that Lukas isn't stopping.
Through my line of vision, I can see the muscles in his back contract and expand under his thin shirt. Sweat beads on his forehead, the purple lights in the club reflecting its glisten. I don't have enough time to admire how he looks because the man he's pounding into is barely recognizable.
I've never seen Lukas out of control before, but this is the closest I've gotten to it. The man's head sloshes side to side, as Lukas continuously pounds his face in, over and over. Grunts and moans arise from the man's throat, blood starts to curdle in his mouth, rising up as he starts to choke on it.
The crowd unanimously gasps, I'm sure they weren't expecting this fight to be as violent as it is. It hasn't even been two minutes yet, and the man looks close to his death. Lukas is still pounding away at the man, the end of the man's beating no where near.
I try to push through the crowd of instigators, but I'm making no progress. "Move please" I strain, raising my voice, pushing through the flood of strangers' arms. Once I reach Lukas I try to pull him back with all of my might. "Stop" I tug him back once again, "Lukas, he's passed out. Stop." Lukas whips his head back towards me, his eyes faded to a dark deepset blue. His eyes instantly soften and he lets go of the man's collar.
There's something hidden in his eyes. Maybe embarrassment, or sadness, or even both. His eyes disconnect with mine and he stands up and tilts his head downwards, breaking eye contact. He doesn't even so much as glance down at the man he beat the shit out of.
He grabs my hand lightly, and pushes us through the crowd surrounding us. There's people mumbling things around us, but he continues walking away away from them. The room he leads me to is a storage closet, with mostly cleaning supplies, extra tissue paper, and garbage bags stashed on large shelves. "Lukas I don't think we're allowed in here."
