*Incoming call from Omi-Omi <3*

Atsumu pushed the accept button and held the phone close to his ear.

"Hey, what's up?" he heard the soothing sound of his voice. Atsumu took a couple deep breaths, trying to get himself to say something. Even just one word.

"Tsumu? What's wrong? Are you okay?" Sakusa asked, sounding nervous. At the sound of tension in the dark haired boy's voice on the other side of the line, Atsumu was finally able to inhale properly and speak.

"I'm.. I'm okay Omi I jus... I jus got a bit anxious." he said in a quiet, shaky voice.

"Just a bit anxious? It sounds a bit more than that? Are you able to tell me what happend or do you just not want to think about it?" he asked in a concerned tone. Atsumu felt his heart swell.

"Can... can I talk about it for a bit, Omi? It's okay if ya want to get back to slee-"

"No, Atsumu, listen to me. I'm here and I'm not gonna leave until you are able to lay your head on your pillow without any doubts or anxieties. Got it?" he said sternly. Atsumu let out a shaky chuckle.

"Okay Omi." he took a couple more deep breaths and started to explain what had happened. "... and so when I feel unprepared I watch videos of my previous performances and take notes and I guess I was feeling a bit too self conscious tonight because I started to watch a video of... a video of Nezari who I lost too last year and... and I jus feel like I could never... I could never beat him. I-" Atsumu started to spiral again.

"Tsumu, I need you to listen to the sound of my voice okay? I know I may seem biased but honestly, I think you have a huge chance of beating him. I mean, yeah Nezari is pretty damn good but you, Atsumu I've never seen anyone move on the ice like you do. It sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it. Yeah, it'll be one hell of a challenge but I'll be damned if I meet another person alive who is as dedicated or hard working as you. It seems hopeless now but I need you to trust me and know that you'll get through this. We'll do it together okay?" Sakusa said to the blond on the phone.

Little did he know that Atsumu had his hand over his mouth, beaming like never before. Sakusa didn't know that what he just said meant more to Atsumu than anything else anyone could have ever said to him, and that for the rest of his life, Atsumu would still remember those exact words that were just spoken. Atsumu was able to breathe again and his body stopped trembling.

"Yer the best Omi. I hope ya know that because that was the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me and, I dunno, I guess I probably wouldn't be okay if you hadn't done what ya jus did. Thank ya. So much." Atsumu said before letting out a huge yawn. Sauksa chuckled.

"I need you to get some shut eye okay 'Tsumu? Also, I want you to take it easy at practice tomorrow, got it?" he said to the exhausted blond.

"Whatever ya say Omi. Sweet dreams." Atsumu said.

"Goodnight loser." Sauksa responded, but Atsumu could tell he was smiling on the other side of the line.

Next day at practice

"Woah, Tsumu are you alright?" Oikawa asked in a concerned tone, looking at his best friend who just walked in with Suna and Osamu.

"What? Oh yeah I'm fine 'Kawa don worry 'bout it." he said, waving a dismissive hand. Atsumu definitely didn't look himself. His hair looked a bit bead-head-ish and he had light bags under his tired eyes. But, nonetheless, he was happy. He was happy to see his friends and to be skating and he was happy because he knew he wouldn't have to do this alone.

Just then he heard the arena doors open and close again. He turned around to see who had arrived and beamed at the sight of Komori and Sakusa walking in, side by side, carrying drinks. Sakusa spotted him typing up his laces and walked over, Oikawa and Tendou eyeing the situation sneakily.

"Hey Omi-Omi, what's up?" Atsumu asked him happily. Sakusa had a mask on but Atsumu could tell that he was smiling from the way his eyes twinkled.

"Nothing really, I just wanted to give you this. Thought you could use some caffeine after last night. Yachi knew what you liked so I just told her to make your usual order." he said as he handed Atsumu the cup that had whipped cream coming out the top.

"O- OMI THAT'S SO SWEET THANK YA" Atsumu said, squealing happily as he sipped on the coffee. Sakusa looked at him with a soft smile and pink cheeks.

"It's nothing, and remember what I said last night, Don't over exert yourself today." he said, ruffling Atsumu's hair heading back towards his cousin.

"Okay Omi! Have a good practice!" he waved as Sakusa walked away and then turned around, his face a bright red color.  Atsumu looked up to find all of the figure skaters grinning slyly at him with raised eyebrows.

"What happened last night?" Oikawa asked with a shit-eating grin on his face.

"I- Tsumu... how... why is he nice to you? He's literally the meanest person I've ever met!" Tendou exclaimed.

"First of all," Atsumu deadpanned at Oikawa, "Kawa get yer head outta the gutter. We were textin' in the middle of the night last night 'cause I had a lot on my mind. And second of all, Ten, Omi is so sweet. He seems mean but that's just cause his mysophobia. I don't wanna hear another word from yall about how he's mean or scary, got it?" Atsumu said in a stern voice. Everyone exchanged amused glances and then nodded.

"Well I think they look adorable together." said Suga, giggling. Atsumu blushed and mumbled under his breath.

"Uh, Atsumu-san what's mysophobia?" Hinata asked, confused. Atsumu, who had done research on it after that night at the skating rink with Sakusa, explained what it meant.

"It's pretty much the fear of contamination. So Omi is very cautious around people and places that might carry germs which is why he wears a mask and gets anxious when people touch him."

"But, if he doesn't like touching people, then why was he okay with touching you Tsumu?" Akaashi said, smirking. Atsumu just blushed a deeper shade of red and rolled his eyes.

"Just cause," he said, being very vague, "c'mon it's time to start warming up." Atsumu stepped into the rink, the other skaters followed him and they started to stretch and skate around. After that they ran through different parts of their performances and worked on specific skills they needed help with.

Atsumu helped Hinata and Yamaguchi with their double axels and Oikawa was helping Yahaba and Shirabu with their over splits. When they were finished, Tendou and Akaashi both did a quick run through each and then Atsumu said he was gonna do one of his old routines because he was feeling a bit tired today.
