!SLIGHT TW FOR STRONG LANGUAGE!

"Awesome, looking forward to it!" Mr. Kai said.

"Me as well!" Atsumu waved and headed back out the door he came, not noticing the three muttering figures following him.

He headed down the stairwell again, feeling better and heading back to the dressing room.

"Hey," he heard a harsh voice call down the hallway, making him turn around. "Are you really Atsumu Miya?" It was the three boys who gave him looks from the stands.

"Uh, yeah I am." he responded nervously, with a hand on the back of his neck.

"Well, my brother Nezari is gonna beat your sorry ass for sure." the tallest one said, making the other two laugh. Atsumu's blood went cold and he took a deep, shaking breath.

"Oh I uh, yeah he's good for sure." he said, not wanting to make these three angry as they all were bigger and older than him.

"Good, are you serious? He's the best. Definitely better than a bitch like you." the boy said, him and his friends advancing closer to Atsumu.

"Oh well uh, I should really be going... I uh-"

"But wait, we're not finished talking yet mate," he said, grinning menacingly and stepping closer. "I haven't even-" but he was cut off by a sharp, clear voice coming from behind Atsumu.

"You're going to want to shut that ass of a mouth of yours before I knock your teeth in."

Before Atsumu could turn around he felt a gentle hand on his back and the familiar scent of fresh laundry and vanilla soothed him. Never in his life had he been so relieved to hear his best friend's voice and feel him right by his side.

    "Who the hell-"

"Did you know if you're found fighting an opponent before the match, it could get your own contender disqualified? I don't think you want that. Especially not at a big competition like this. Could be potentially career ending. How devastating." Sakusa clearly, without falting.

"Tsk, it's not like we were gonna do nothing bad! Just rough em up around the edges a bit!"

"I would advise otherwise." the black haired male responded in a deadly voice.

The boy just let out a frustrated huff of air and stalked away, the two others following in his footsteps. Atsumu, with shaking hands, turned around and hugged Sakusa who readily returned the hug.

"Oi, are you okay?" Atsumu let out a shaky breath and nodded into the taller's neck.

"Yeah, I'm okay Omi. They didn't do anything. Thank ya for helping me."

    "Always, Atsu."

"Wait, Omi, how did ya know where I was?" Atsumu asked, pulling away from the other.

"I didn't want you out here alone for too long so I came to find you and I heard voices so I headed this way. I'm glad I came." Atsumu let out a soft chuckle.

"Yeah, me too. Wanna head back?"

"Yeah, that sounds good." Sakusa replied and they started down the hallway together.

"Omi guess what. I have a fan!"

"That's amazing Atsu! But sometimes I think you forget you're one of the youngest skaters to be competing at a National level. You don't give yourself enough credit. You also forget you've been best friends with one of your biggest fans for months so..." Sakusa said, gesturing to himself and making Atsumu laugh.
