Atsumu was sitting on a cold metal bench in the freezing park as the dusk set a sleepy mood over the city. Big fat snowflakes fell slowly from the sky, covering the ground and trees around him and landing in his golden blond hair and on his eyelashes.
Atsumu was sitting on that bench but he was also trying not to cry. Slowly, as it got darker and the snow piled higher, Atsumu couldn't hold it together anymore.
The park was empty and tears slipped out of the corners of the blond's hazel eyes and rolled slowly down his pink cheeks. He let out a small sob, stifling it right away. He couldn't help himself, the day had just been that bad.
"H- hey! Are you okay? Why are you out here?" A sleek voice rang out in the quietness.
Atsumu's head shot up as he swiftly wiped his face dry with his sleeve.
"Wha- oh uh. Nothin'! I'm okay!" he said, faking a cheery smile.
"It doesn't really look like it." The stranger said flatly. Atsumu didn't have the energy to keep this mask up and his face dropped, another tear slipping from the corner of his eye.
"Yer right, I'm not okay." he said with a heavy sigh, resting his head on the back of the bench and covering his face with his hands that were now turning purple.
The man, who looked about his own age, sat down next to him. He was wearing a scarf that covered his face and a hat. All that Atsumu could make out in the darkness was startling black eyes with thick dark lashes that were flecked with white snow.
"Why are you out here? You're gonna get sick." he said a little harshly.
"I don really know. I guess I don't really care if I get sick or not."
"Well, Jesus your hands are turning purple and it's like 10:00 at night." Atsumu just shrugged, still letting fat drops slip from his eyes.
"Well- ugh, just come with me." the stranger said exasperatedly.
"Ya don't hafta help me. I'm not really worth the trouble anyways."
"I want to." he said bluntly. And with that, Atsumu followed the stranger through the park that was now white with snow.
After a couple blocks, they turned the corner and stopped at the door to a tiny flower shop Atsumu had never noticed before. The tall male unlocked the door with his keys and walked in, turning on the light.
"Is this yers?" Atsumu asked.
"No, I'm breaking into a random store with a key I just happened to have. Yes it's my store dummy."
Atsumu snorted and smiled for the first time that day. The male looked at him for a couple seconds before taking off his thick scarf and hat. Atsumu looked up and his heart skipped a beat. The man was absolutely, world-stopping, drop dead gorgeous, with thick curly black hair and a defined bone structure.
"I- uh. Ya- what are we doing here?" Atsumu said, getting a hold of himself.
"Well I wasn't gonna let you freeze and my shop was closer than my apartment. Want some tea?" he asked, walking to the back and through a doorway covered in vines. Atsumu followed him, still wondering if he just met an Angel.
"Uh, sure, thank ya so much." After a few second of the stranger bustling around making tea in silence Atsumu spoke up again. "Sorry. For being an inconvenience. I bet the last thing ya wanted on a Wednesday night was to be back at yer shop making tea for a stranger who was havin' a breakdown in the park."
"Hmm, no, that was exactly what I wanted to be doing." Atsumu looked up from his hands, puzzled, but chuckled when he saw that the man was smiling and shaking his head.
