On the ground lay a small, shaking kitten, looking up at them with big golden eyes.

    "OH OMI LOOK AT THE POOR BABY." Atsumu gushed, rushing towards the kitten and lifting the fragile thing into his arms, carefully stroking it.

It started purring softly at Atsumu's warm touch, nuzzling into his arms.

    "Omi we can't jus leave him here. He'll die if we do." Atsumu said, looking up at the black haired male with big sad eyes.

He looked from Atsumu to the kitten and back again, then chuckled lightly. The kitten was a blondish-yellow color with golden eyes and big ears, like a fox. It looked almost exactly like the boy who was holding the small thing.

    "I suppose you're right." he said, kneeling down next to the two. He didn't reach out to pet the kitten but Atsumu knew from the look in his eyes he really wanted to.

"C'mon Omi-Omi, let's take him to the vet." said Atsumu, standing up slowly. Sakusa smiled at the two blonds.

"Yeah, let's go. I'll drive." Sakusa said, leading them to his car.

He unlocked it and walked around to the passengers side. Atsumu looked at him with a confused expression.

"Omi, I thought you were driving." The taller boy only rolled his eyes light-heartedly.

"I am dumbass, I was just opening the door for you." Atsumu walked towards Sakusa with a smile and sat down in the passenger seat with the kitten still in his arms.

"Ah, look at my Omi-Omi. Being such a gentleman." he said with a grin.

"Oh shut up." Sakusa closed the door and walked around, glad that Atsumu couldn't see the intense blush on his face. 'His Omi?' he thought to himself before getting the driver's seat and starting the car.

Of course, Sakusa's car was spotless and Atsumu made sure to keep the kitten on his lap so as to not make the other male uncomfortable because the small blond animal was quite truthfully filthy.

"Omi, I'm gonna call Samu real quick so he doesn't worry 'bout where I am." Atsumu said.

"Okay." He clicked his brother's contact which read 'Walmart off brand of me <3' and it rang twice before he picked up.

"What's up Tsumu?" Osamu said.

"The sky, duh." Atsumu answered, smirking to himself.

"Oh shut up ya assbadgar. What do ya want?"
Osamu asked while Atsumu laughed his ass off.

"Oh god, am I hilarious or what?" Atsumu said, still giggling.

"So amusing," Osamu replied in a flat tone. "Didja actually call for a reason or can I hang up?"

"Nonono I did call for a reason. Omi-kun and I found a kitten and we're gon take it to the vet so I won't be home fer a while." he said into the phone.

"A kitten? Tsumu, I know ya love animals and I do too but ya know we can't keep a kitten. My allergies would legit try ta kill me if we had a cat. I'm really sorry bro." he said, and he actually did sound genuinely sad.

"I- I know we can't keep it but I couldn't jus leave it there so we're gon take it ta the vet."

"Okay, and you said Sakusa is with you?"

"Yeah, we're in Omi's car heading there now."

"Okay, see you back at home later. Be safe." Osamu said.

"M'kay, bye Samu!" he hung up right as they pulled into the parking lot of the pet store/vet.

The two got out and headed inside, making their way to the back by the clinic. Sakusa hung back as Atsumu talked to a woman at the desk who, after a minute, handed some paperwork to Atsumu and went to get the doctor. Atsumu handed the papers to Sakusa and while he was filling those out, the doctor talked to Atsumu about what they were gonna do.

"Okay, so you said you think it's a stray?" the doctor asked.

"Yep, we found him outside my skating rink and he didn have a collar or anything." Atsumu replied.

"Alrighty, so we're gonna do a simple check up and get him ready for adoption. We'll check for a microchip and we will get the little guy some food and vaccinations. Sound good?"

"Yep, thank ya doctor."

"Okay, it'll be about 45 minuets." Sakusa stood up and handed him the paperwork, thanking him as well before he took the kitten into the back.

The pair sat down on a small bench in the waiting room, their shoulders resting against each other's. Atsumu sighed and Sakusa could hear the tension in it.

"Hey, are you alright?" he asked.

"Oh, yeah Omi I'm okay. I jus really wished I could keep the kitten I- I've always wanted a cat and I kinda love the little guy." he said sadly.

Sakusa thought for a moment then shrugged a bit.
"I mean, I kinda grew attached to that blondie too. I could always take him home."

"O- OMI YOU WOULD DO THAT?!" Atsumu exclaimed, placing his hands on Sauksa's shoulders and looking at him excitedly. The taller boy just chuckled and smiled.

"Yeah sure. I love cats and Ko had been begging to get a pet anyway. Plus my apartment complex is animal friendly. You can come over and see him anytime you'd like."

"Omi you're the best, oh my god!" Atsumu squealed and hugged Sakusa tightly.

He tensed up for just a moment before relaxing and hugging Atsumu back.

"We should go pick out some stuff for him! OH and we need to think of a name! And we need a cute collar and-" Atsumu leaped up, ideas and items he wanted spilling from his mouth as he ranted about all the cute things they could get him.

After debating the name for a while, some of them being very... let's say interesting, Sakusa spoke up.

"Hmm, I really like the name Hoshi. What do you think?" Atsumu gasped and clapped his hands together happily.

"I love it, Omi!" After they decided the name they went up to the collar counter and chose a collar and tag.
