a/n sorry for the time skips i just wanna get to a certain point without rushing too much

3 more days later

it's saturday, and we've been in north carolina for a week.

"you almost ready?" kalynn calls from the bottom of the stairs.

i struggle with the clasp on my necklace, missing the loop every time. my nostrils flare in anger. "can someone help me with this necklace?"

i hear a few mumbles from downstairs, then quiet footsteps walking swiftly towards my room. weston pokes his head through my half open door. "you okay?"

"i can't get this on," i say, turning to face him with the silver chain in my palms. i feel the frustrated look on my face.

weston comes closer to me, and i look at his outfit up and down. he's wearing a black dress shirt with the top button loose, paired with light grey pants and black sneakers. i inhale deeply as he carefully takes the necklace from me, his fingers tickling my hand.

i turn back around and face my mirror as weston pushes my lengthy hair over my right shoulder. his eyes glance up to meet mine, which are staring back at him, quickly, but he looks away and puts the front of the necklace over my chest, gliding his fingers over the chain in the back.

he clasps it easily, then sets the cool metal onto my skin. the light touch of his fingertips lingers before he pulls my hair up from under the necklace.

we stand there for a moment, together, before weston runs his hands down my arms, settling around my waist. he rests his chin on my shoulder as we gaze at each other in the large mirror.

his lips connect with the side of my neck, and he leaves a trail of kisses all around my skin and behind my ear. the speed of my breathing increases as my back folds into his front.

but i stop him. "hey, we gotta go," i whisper it as if i don't want him to hear it.

weston halts with an annoyed sigh while i take one final look in the mirror at my dress. the pale pink accents the tan i've acquired over the summer, and my hair is pulled into a half up-half down style.

i smooth the front of my outfit with my palms before turning around to stare up at weston, his arms not leaving my hips. he stares back at me with parted lips, and i lift myself up to kiss him.

our matching necklaces connect almost immediately, the magnetic charge being too strong.

just like the two of us.

weston's lips curl into a smile while we kiss when we hear the familiar clicking sound. he breathes in deeply through his nose, and i run my thumb over his jaw before pulling away.

"you look beautiful," he says shyly, his cheeks turning to a deep crimson color.

"you do too," i respond with a wide grin.

he scratches the back of his neck anxiously as our hands intertwine to walk down the stairs, all dressed up.

the four of us have decided to go out for a fancy dinner downtown."colin's treat" apparently. it was his idea, and he wanted to pay for something. i was surprised when weston didn't get into a fist fight with him over the topic of money.

"savannah!" kalynn exclaims. "you look so good!"

i laugh, still smiling from being upstairs. "says you. that color looks amazing on you."

she's wearing a short, flowy, lavender colored dress. her hair is pulled back into a tight fishtail braid.

kalynn shrugs with a smirk. "why thank you."
