READERS POV

I always wondered what it'd be like to attend a regular school, but Bruce was pretty cool too. I had been homeschooled since I was of age, and I guess I couldn't say I hated it. Less drama. Steve Rogers and Wanda Maximoff are my parents, and seeing as I had both of their abilities, they were always worried about something happening. Hence the homeschooling.

I was currently however, zoned out, as Bruce rambled about calculus. I stared mesmerized instead at the blue orb I was playing with, with my fingers.

"Y/N. Y/N? Y/N!" Bruce yelled, snapping my attention back to him.

I looked up and gave him a sheepish look. "Um... yes?"

"You didn't hear any of that, did you?" He asked.

"No," I admitted. "Sorry."

Bruce just sighed. "It's alright. We have been at this since this morning and I know science and math isn't as exciting as sparing with Nat. Get outta here kid, we're done for the day."

I quickly picked up all my things and raced out of the room. "Thanks Bruce!" I shouted as I left.

I could vaguely hear him mutter a response, but I was already halfway down the hall. Once I made it to my bedroom, I placed all of my papers on my desk and went looking for Sam and Bucky.

Sam and Bucky are my best friends. Yeah, it kinda sucked not having anyone here my age, but I wouldn't change anything.

I finally found the two of them in the living room, arguing over the remote and what to watch. I plopped down on the couch in the middle of them, grabbed the remote out of Bucky's hand and switched on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Problem solved.

Out of the corner of my eyes, I could see the two of them staring at me as I tried to focus on the show. "Can I help you?" I asked.

The both of them just shook their heads, grumpy expressions on their faces, and turned their attention to the tv. Well, that was more successful than I thought it would be. Those two use any excuse to argue and I'm shocked that they didn't keep going even after I stopped them. Win for me, I guess.

The rest of the day went by pretty quickly, the most exciting thing being Tony announcing at dinner that he was going to introduce us to a new member of the team tomorrow. I'm wondering who it's gonna be. Probably another adult. They never add anyone my age.

I snuggled into my bed, quickly lifting up the sleeve of my sweater to check my soulmate timer. It showed that I would meet my soulmate within the next fifteen hours. I was nervous but excited, and with that thought in my head I passed out.

--------time skip, the next day--------

It was almost two o'clock and I, alongside the rest of the Avengers, were waiting in the conference room for Tony to arrive with the newest recruit.

"Hey mom, who do you think it's gonna be?" I asked.

She was sitting next to me but had been conversing with my dad, so she turned her head in my direction for a moment before answering. "I don't know honey. You'll just have to wait and see."

"Why do I get the feeling that you're hiding something from me? You know who it is, don't you?" I asked as I studied her.

Mom just shrugged before turning her attention back to dad.

I huffed, sliding down further into my seat. I peered across the table to where Sam was sitting, and he just gave me a smirk. He probably heard what I asked mom. Does everyone know who it's gonna be but me? I thought.

It was probably ten minutes later before Tony walked in, only there was no one beside him.

"Come on kid." Tony said, sticking his head back into the hall and calling for whoever was with him.

Kid? I perked up in my seat as a boy who looked to be my age walked through the doors.

"Everyone, this is Peter Parker. Spiderman. Kid, this is the team." Tony said, gesturing with his hand at all of us.

Peter's eyes darted around the room, before landing on mine. As our eyes met, a beeping could be heard coming from both of our wrists.

My eyes widened in shock as I kept darting my eyes back and forth from Peter's own shocked expression to my now exposed wrist where I had pulled my sleeve up. There was no longer a timer, my wrist returned back to normal.

I was snapped back into the present by mom snapping her fingers in front of my face, the team laughing at both of our expressions. "Y/N sweetie, how could you forget that it was today?" She asked with a small chuckle.

"I-I don't know. Wait is this why everyone knew but me?" I asked, focusing my attention on her.

"Yep," mom said. "Now, why don't we leave these two to get better acquainted?"

The team stood up and filed out, mom smiling at Peter, and both Tony and dad patting him on the shoulder as they exited the room.

Once everyone had gone, the reality of the situation seemed to settle in. "Uh... hi," I spoke.

"H-hi." He said, moving closer and sitting down next to me. "I'm Peter Parker."

"Y/N Rogers." I said smiling at him.

As soon as we got introductions out of the way, we both seemed to relax.

"Wow. I can't... I can't believe, just wow." I said. I guess I wasn't quite over the shock yet.

"I know. You and me both." Peter said.

The two of us continued to laugh and talk for hours, getting to know each other. It was only then that I realized something.

"Wait." I said, stopping Peter mid-sentence and leaning forward a bit in my seat. "How did they know, and why am I just realizing that they somehow knew?"

"That's a good question, that I don't have the answer too." He replied, making me laugh.

You and me both, I thought.

"Huh," I said. Slumping back down in my seat, I smiled at Peter. I'm glad they somehow knew.
