I could hear conversation coming from the kitchen the closer I got, as I made my way there with a skip in my step. Loki was coming today, joining the team in an effort to make amends after being brainwashed. Maybe he was already here?

Skipping into the kitchen, I opted to pay no attention to what was going on around me before running and launching myself at Bucky, who's back had been turned towards me. He stumbled forward a few steps, hands coming to grip my thighs as they wrapped around his waist so that I didn't fall off his back.

I giggled, and if me running at him wasn't enough to give away who it was, that was.

"Hey there, doll," Bucky laughed out.

"Hi." I mumbled into his back.

"Was that necessary?" He asked.

"Ummmm," I dragged out. "Yep."

"Lady Y/N!" Thor exclaimed as the rest of the team laughed.

"Of course it was," I heard Bucky mutter under his breath.

I finally pulled my head out of his back, and rested my chin on his shoulder, looking around the kitchen. My eyes landed on a tall, slim man with raven black hair, who seemed to be eyeing the situation questioningly.

Oh wait. That's Loki. Right. Well, that's one way to make a first impression.

I patted Bucky's arm signalling that I wanted to be put down. He crouched over a little so that I could slide off his back and I hit the floor, my feet making a small thud. I walked around Bucky, making my way over to Steve and giving him a hug, then proceeding to give Wanda one as well.

"What, your old man doesn't get one? Wow, way to make me feel special." Tony complained. Tony wasn't actually my dad, but after being in the foster care system for almost my whole life, he filled the role when I joined the team.

"Sorry Dad, I'll hug you if I must." I let out sarcastically.

"Really feeling the love here Y/N," he said as he wrapped his arms around me.

I let out a chuckle, hugging him for a moment before pulling out of his arms and making my way over to where Loki was standing.

"Hey, I'm Y/N." I said cheerily, offering him a smile. "You must be Loki?"

He nodded his head, studying me as if I was some odd creature. I mean I guess I was. I wouldn't exactly classify myself as normal.

"Can I give you a hug?" I asked. "I'm gonna give you a hug."

I didn't wait for Loki's response before I wrapped my arms around him in a hug. I felt him tense up, but that didn't stop me. Thor's booming laughter cut through the kitchen as I hugged his brother and after a few more seconds I let go.

"So, it was nice meeting you but unfortunately, I have a shit ton of paperwork to do so imma go." I informed him, turning my head in Steve's direction, and giving him a playful glare.

He just looked at me sheepishly, a blush forming over his cheeks.

"Later." I said, bringing my hand to my forehead and doing a mock salute, before grabbing a bottled water off the counter and leaving. That had been the whole reason I'd come to the kitchen in the first place.
