Blood slid down her arms, tracing and exploring new areas of discovery, carefully she got up. Allowing her feet to carry her to her destination; her bedroom. Her bedroom had been her safe haven for as long as she'd known, it kept her away from all the trauma and voices awaiting her, at least for a while.
Swallowing down the urge to cry, the girl went and grabbed her first aid kit. Avoiding any direct contact of pressure to her skin, she carefully cleaned her arm. Wrapping it tightly, she waited; waited for the voices and whispers to return.
They hadn't.
Frowning, the girl leaned against her bed. For years the voices had taunted her, whispered and mumbled unsaid thoughts of hers, leaving an imprint and second voice in her mind. Doubts had been placed, words had been twisted and tangled until she could no longer decipher the truth, she knew that it was wrong, wrong to give in but she had.
Laying down, she closed her eyes, embracing the darkness as soft snores filled the silence.
