''Nevaeh,'' The boy called out her name as she hummed in response, gracefully sliding across the ice.

''Nevaeh,'' He called her name again, this time making sure he had her attention.

She stopped and focused on him. ''Look, I-i was wondering whether you were free or not this afternoon.'' He said, stuttering slightly as his nerves played up.

The girl looked surprised for a moment before responding ''like a date??'' She asked him.

''Yeah, I mean if you want it to be.'' He replied, placing his words out carefully as he knew about her feelings for her best friend's brother.

''Yes, I'll go on a date with you,'' Her reply caused the boy to hesitate before asking her the question on his mind. ''What about Jason?'' He questioned as the girl met his gaze and smiled.

''Look, Nav I won't deny that I do feel something for him, like a crush but sometimes you can't wait forever for something that's never gonna happen,'' The girl, Nevaeh started to say. ''I do feel something for you, I can't deny that either it's like a strong pull, and whenever you're around my day becomes so much better, whenever I find something out you're the first person I want to tell . . . what I'm saying Naveen is that I'm willing to make this happen.'' She finished off as he grabbed both her hands in his.

''So will you, officially, go on a date with this guy that's standing right in front of you.'' He asked as she laughed at his choice of words.

''Yes, I will go on a date with the guy standing right in front of me, Naveen,'' She said as he smiled.

''But you choose the date, time, and place Nav.'' The girl said as she went off the ice rink.
