The girl shamelessly stared at the boy in front of her. The sight of him made her heart skip a beat. 'It can't be.' she thought to herself. 'But it is.' Another part of her said as she took in the details of the boy. Blonde hair and golden eyes, the runes covering his body, and the way he held himself. The way he was everything the books described him to be; determined, fearless, broken, and damaged. It was true the said-to-be Wayland boy was damaged but there was a certain beauty in his damaged side.
She watched as he stared at her trying to figure her out, she knew he had questions about her world; the world where he was just a fictional character. She watched as he took out his stele, fiddling with it. ''How? I---'' the boy started to say as he looked helplessly at the girl. ''I- I don't know Jace, I'm sorry.'' She said causing the boy, Jace to frown,
''Don't be, it's not your fault.....'' He paused as he looked at her.
''Oh, I'm Andrea.'' She said as he nodded.
''Beautiful nice for a--'' She interrupted him with a simple 'Don't' as a male started walking towards her.
''Thank God your okay,'' The male said once he reached the pair and quickly pulled the girl, Andrea, into a hug. Almost instantly she wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly as the warmth he provided gave her a sense of comfort.
Pulling away she slipped her hands into his as they focused back on the now confused-looking boy.
''Jackson, I'd like you to meet Jace.''
''Jace.'' Jackson, the girl's brother said as he tested his name out, Jace looked at him with his eyebrow raised. He liked it better when Andrea said his name.
''Last name??''
''Way---'' ''McKenner,'' Andrea said and then looked at each other. Jace caught the look she was giving him as he nodded his head.
''McKenner, Jace McKenner.''
''Relation to my sister.'' This caused the boy to frown. ''Sister??'' He asked, causing Andrea to roll her eyes and mumble 'boys' which he heard.
''He means me, I'm his sister,'' Andrea said as Jace looked between the two of them.
''I can see the slight resemblance.'' He said as the older boy replied.
''Answer the question.'' He said loudly.
''I'm her friend.'' He said although it sounded more like a question.
Jackson let it go as he looked back at his watch. ''Rea, we have to go.'' He said as he showed her the time. ''7:05.'' She gasped realizing they were late and knew that their father was not forgiving, ''Just give me a minute Jack,'' She said as she watched him nod his head and give the two some privacy.
''We'll figure this out, Wayland, I promise. Just try and fit in and keep your real profile on a low.'' She said as he nodded.
''I got it, none of this hot stuff can be revealed... poor people don't know what they are going to miss out on,'' He said as she rolled her eyes and pulled him into a hug causing him to stiffen at the action. He'd only been close to the Lightwoods and no one else.
Pulling away she quickly slipped her new apartment keys into his hands which had a sticky note attached to them and waved goodbye.
Watching her walk away the Wayland boy asked himself on the name of the angel what he'd gotten himself into.
