Author's note : I'm following the storyline from the manga, so just pretend that somehow Amanogi only knew Kuroko, Midorima, and Nijimura aside from Akashi from the basketball team. Because they said the time Aomine met Kuroko was around fall, I assumed it's around October-December, so it's been months since the first time Amanogi met him.
Amanogi eyed the door and quickly pulled Kuroko to hide with him. They're watching silently as the navy haired boy walked in.
"Yū-kun, I know you want to scare him but I don't need to hide, he won't notice me after all."
"Hehe gomen gomen, I forgot your presence is very thin. Now go and give him a greeting."
Kuroko sighed and turned to the boy, "Must I do it?" he asked, but he did what Amanogi said anyway.
"WHOAH!"
Amanogi stifled back his laugh as he saw Aomine cowering in the corner.
"Ah, Aomine-kun?"
The boys properly introduced each other's names. Amanogi tilted his head, if he's not wrong that boy's name is Aomine Daiki, one of the most agile member in the first string. He often saw the boy played, and he couldn't help but to feel awe by his streetball-style.
"Yū-kun, you may come out now."
"E-eh what's this? Another ghost?" Aomine asked while trembling as he looked around.
"Boo."
"AAAAA!"
Kuroko and Amanogi stared at the boy who was chanting prayers in the corner.
"I didn't know we're that scary Tetsu." Amanogi said plainly as he shrugged, meanwhile Kuroko only smiled at him.
"And you? Who are you?" asked Aomine when he finally regained his composure. "Oh wait, I've seen you before, somewhere.." he pondered a bit but he couldn't remember.
"I'm Amanogi Yū, nice to meet you Aomine-san." Amanogi said while offering his hand for a handshake.
"Oh right! You're the one who was always with Akashi and Midorima right?"
Kuroko eyed the boy, surprised. "Is that true Yū-kun? I don't know you're close with the members from the first string."
Amanogi scratched his neck lightly with an awkward laugh. "Well, you can say it like that.."
"Then, what are you two doing here?" asked Aomine as he noticed that the gym was empty. Kuroko explained to the boy that he's practicing until he could get promoted.
"Alright, I've decided! I'll practice here with you everyday from now!" Aomine said with loud voice, then bumped his fist with Kuroko. Amanogi watched them with fond eyes--well he tried to but not actually seen like that--as Kuroko finally found another practice-mate besides him. Well Amanogi didn't have that much stamina to begin with.
"What about you?" Aomine asked as he pointed at Amanogi. The silver haired boy hummed and took a ball, then shot it into the ring.
"I'm wasting my energy so I can sleep at night?" he replied casually, making the two boys sweatdropped with the ridiculous reason. Amanogi huffed and pouted, "I'm serious, I'm having difficulty sleeping if I'm not tired."
"But you're not even moving that much Yū-kun.."
"Well I need to conserve my energy for practicing violin too right?" Amanogi chuckled, then passed the ball to Aomine. "Prove it to us that you're worthy of being here."
Aomine widened his eyes in shock. "Huh?! This is not your gym to begin with!"
"He's right Yū-kun, and I'm already lucky to have him agree practicing with me here.."
