"Kagami-kun, your time improved a bit from yesterday."
The red haired man grinned while wiping his forehead.
'Plakk'
"Itte! Oi why did you hit me with that board?!"
Amanogi snorted while looking at Kagami's datas, "Why do you look so happy? With this numbers, you could barely duel Ryō." He sighed and crossed his hands, "Don't be so cocky just because you beat Kaijō once."
Kagami knitted his eyebrows in agitation and turned to Kuroko. "Oi Kuroko! Is he in our side or the opponents side?!"
Kuroko looked at Kagami indifferently, "But he only stated the facts, Kagami-kun."
The red haired man held back the urge to hit both of them. He stomped away with Amanogi sneering behind him.
Amanogi glanced at Kagami and bit his lower lips, 'With this pace, can he grow quickly?'
"Don't worry Yū-kun." Amanogi jerked slightly and looked at Kuroko who smiled at him. "Kagami-kun is also one of them, he will pass beyond your expectation."
The silver haired man scoffed, "If that's what you said, Tetsu." He turned to Kagami who was practicing earnestly. "I hope he will truly do."
As if he could hear them talking, Kagami suddenly smirked and tried to make a dunk--
'Duag'
--but sadly his head bumped into the ring. Kuroko and Amanogi only frowned when they saw this. "Maybe we're too optimistic, Tetsu." Amanogi murmured while holding his laugh. Kuroko only smiled while watching Amanogi laughed. The man changed a lot from before, it's like he's shielding himself away from others. There's an invisible guard he put up when they interacted, and he's a lot more quiet than in the past.
"Tetsu? What's wrong?"
Kuroko shook his head and continued practice, 'Did he change because of us too?' he thought while sneaking glances towards Amanogi.
"Oh right Coach, our next opponent is the troublesome-giant-Papa right?" Amanogi asked while looking at the opponents datas.
'What kind of nickname is that?!'
"Yes, do you have any suggestion on how to face them, Amanogi-kun?"
Amanogi pondered for a bit, "Well I think your strategy is enough, Kagami marking the freaking-long-Papa and the rest can play as usual."
'Again, what incredible speed to come up with such name!'
"But I think--" Amanogi pointed at Kagami who was still practicing lay up. "--he need to train on jumping. I'm afraid his legs won't last long." He mumbled as he eyed Kagami's legs. Riko nodded while looking at the training routine, "Right, I should add more training for that."
"How about--" Amanogi narrated the routine he proposed, making Riko stunned as it sounded like a professional training menu. "Coach?" He asked while looking at Riko confusedly.
"A-Ah sorry Amanogi-kun, it's just--it sounds really good, did you come up with it by yourself?"
The silver haired man scratched his neck, "Well I got a few helps here and there, but mostly I came up with this by watching practices."
Riko's eyes blinked and she quickly grabbed Amanogi's hands, "I'm really glad you join our team! You're helping a lot!"
"A-ah, it's no big deal." He murmured shyly while feeling a glare on his back--he knew it's coming from Hyūga's direction.
