At first, Amanogi didn't notice that Akira was in his class. Well, it's because all he did everyday during classes was taking a nap. Just lately, he became more diligent--courtesy of Akashi forced him to sleep regularly--he finally paid attention to the class. Then one day, he finally knew they're in the same class at the Music and Art period.
They somehow played quite well together, one time when the teacher asked for them to perform as a class for Parent's day.
--Flashback on--
"Is there someone who want to volunteer on playing the piano?"
Amanogi lazily eyed the whole class, there seemed to be no one who could play. He sighed, truthfully he could play piano, but it's been a while since the last time he touched his piano at home. Suddenly Akashi raised his hand, making Amanogi excited as he just remembered that the boy used to learn music instruments too.
"Yes Akashi-kun? Do you want to play?"
Akashi shook his head, then turned towards the silver haired boy. Amanogi gulped and prayed inwardly, hoping Akashi didn't do what he's thinking right now.
"Sensei, I heard that Amanogi-kun could play the piano." Akashi replied while eyeing the boy who pouted back.
"Really, that's great to hear! Then Amanogi-kun, would you mind to play?"
Amanogi bit back curses and tried to look neutral. He cleared his throat and walked towards the piano, adjusting the seat and tried to smile. The boy took a deep breath, eyeing his classmate and found a green haired boy. He forgot that Midorima also used to play piano, 'Ish Sei and Shin are the same!' he thought.
"Sensei, what are we going to sing?" he asked as he ignored curious eyes who were watching him. He could read them all, mostly shocked and amazed, but some of them were saying something like 'What a luck, great at violin and now he's also good at piano'. That's why Amanogi tried to stay low, he didn't want to start new talks. He shot a glare towards Akashi who pretended to look innocent.
"Oh right, before that, it would be nice to have a violin to accompany Amanogi-kun."
He almost screamed in delight and immediately turned to Akashi, who somehow looked calm.
"Sensei, Akira is a violinist in our orchestra club!"
That made Amanogi glanced at the black haired boy who stood at the back. Their relationship wasn't actually bad, because the boy used to help out Amanogi a lot to take care of the bullies. But yesterday was the placement for the upcoming performance, there was only one place for the concert master and Amanogi was the chosen one. Of course it raised the tension between them, even making Amanogi didn't dare to talk to him as Akira looked quite gloomy.
"It's good then, Akira-kun, would you mind to play your violin?"
Amanogi swore he could read the boy's mind, saying something along that the violinist should be Amanogi instead. But as he saw that Amanogi was on the piano, he didn't retort back and quickly agreed. That was the first time he played as a pianist for a violinist besides Akashi, and he wasn't ashamed to admit it's fun.
--Flashback off--
But Amanogi didn't expect his dream to be fulfilled immediately.
"Amanogi!"
Amanogi jolted and turned towards the class door. He watched Akira ran to his desk and slammed his table. This act made Akashi frowned and about to talk, but Akira beat him.
"Would you be my collaborative pianist?!"
(Notes : Collaborative pianist is someone who accompany a violinist to perform, usually done at competitions or performance.)
