The duo light and shadow, decided to stop Akashi once and for all.
They double teamed him, but this didn't feel enough to stop Akashi. The big difference between Akashi's Zone and Kagami's zone was the lack of the eye.
"Then I'll be the eye." said Kuroko to Amanogi.
Amanogi clenched his fists together. He truly hoped they could stop Akashi. If they failed this time, they're not getting another chance.
"Please.." Amanogi mumbled his pray while staring at the court.
Then, the miracle did happen.
The duo stopped Akashi's drive.
It was quite a trick, making Kuroko moved the opposite way of where Kagami went, because Akashi would always stopped him using the Emperor Eye. Then, Kuroko stole the ball.
No one saw it coming, not even Akashi himself.
After that, they began to get on toll. Seirin kept scoring consecutively, while Akashi lost his composure and kept messing his play.
The silver haired man only cringed at the man's condition. But he couldn't afford to pity the opponent. Untill they could hear the buzzer sound, they wouldn't dare to relax even just a bit.
As expected, Rakuzan made a time out after Seirin caught up with the score. Although they're catching up, having Kagami in the Zone all the time was really difficult. The man looked about to run out of fuel. The benched members scrambled to give him towel, drinks, and even shoved him lemonade.
Amanogi felt chills, and turned his head quickly at Rakuzan's direction.
"No way..what is this feeling.."
He felt like going to cry, as he felt a longing desire to meet someone.
The match started again, unexpectedly Akashi was still taking the lead after his consecutive mistakes.
It was right then when Kuroko was about to steal the ball, Akashi smiled.
"It's been a long time, Kuroko."
"No way."
Kuroko widened his eyes in shock, knowing the familiar look and tone from his old captain.
Then the pass, the perfectly calculated and executed pass, made the rest of GoM members realised.
"Eh? Amanogi-kun?!"
"Maa, I'm sorry to be like this." Amanogi whispered while lightly wiped his eyes.
The old Akashi, the Sei he knew, was back.
He couldn't help but feel a bit emotional. But they couldn't dwell on it for too long, as the Akashi now was even stronger.
As if the worst had yet to happen before, Rakuzan players evolved into a monstrously powerful state. Akashi's pass made the play went smoothly, and drove them all into Zones.
It was, by far, the worst possible scenario to happen.
Even without standing at the court, Amanogi felt the tremendous pressure from Rakuzan.
The Rakuzan before was already quite taxing to face, but how about now?!
Amanogi wasn't only worried about that, he's afraid the players would be out of stamina before the match ended.
And if they did, it's the end for them.
The silver haired man felt the dread creeping on his skin was getting stronger. Then he realised.
