ARTHUR
The moment Jessy pressed her lips onto mine, the world stopped. Suddenly the memories of our past came rushing to me, the feeling was nostalgic. But before I could process what just happened, Thea's face came flashed in my eyes, I instantly pushed Jessy away.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck." I closed my mouth with my hand.
I mentally punched myself, not believing I nearly fell into the moment. But one thing I was grateful for was that I didn't kiss her back. That kiss just lasted 2 seconds.
"What the fuck did you just do, Jessy?!" I nearly shouted at woman in front of me, who seemed taken back by what she just did.
If only my son was not sleeping in the other side of the house, I would have shouted at her.
Jessy couldn't even look at me, she looked like she was ashamed of herself for what she just did. "Arthur, I'm so sorry. I didn't know what I was doing."
I was fuming mad. Not only that I hated it to be put in this position, I was also worried with Thea's reaction when I told her about the kiss. I would have to tell her about it, I didn't want to lie to her. Ever. But I didn't want to stress her out, she was pregnant and the stress was never good for her.
"I'm really sorry, I was just.. I was not myself. It was so wrong of me to do that, Arthur I'm really sorry." Jessy said once again.
"You had no right to do that." I tried to stay calm as much as I could. "I don't tolerate unwanted incidents like that, ever again."
We made a deal to never pull something like this. Our job was to co-parent Josh. I had made it clear to her that I no longer loved her. If it wasn't for Josh, I would rather not meet her again.
"Next time you try to pull something like that again, I warn you.. I won't hesitate to make you regret it."
She winced as I said that. I never raised my voice at her, let alone threaten her like that. The look in her eyes told me my words hurt her but I could careless. I was serious about it. I didn't want anything like that to ever happen again. Right now, she was just the mother of my son, nothing more.
"And one more thing," I added. "I'd appreciate it if you don't tell my wife what just happened. I will tell her myself."
I never wanted to have negative thoughts on her, but what she just did now just cemented it. I had to make sure she was not trying to ruin my marriage.
When she didn't say anything to what I had said, I glared at her. "Are we clear?"
She startled and looked up. "I-I understand. I promise it won't happen again."
"Keep your words and we will be fine." I rose up from where I sat, no longer wanted to stay here any longer. "I best be leaving now."
I didn't wait for her to respond, I left her room to the main door. I heard her following me behind me. I was about to leave when she stopped me.
"I'm sorry, Arthur."
Hearing her apology made me angrier. So I slammed the door behind me instead, not bothering to look behind. I just wanted to go home to meet my wife, and thought about the way I should tell her what the hell just happened without adding stress to her.

THEA
"Arthur?" I called him as I saw him looking lost. "Are you okay?"
Arthur had been acting weird lately. He looked anxious, and sometimes he came to me like he wanted to say something but ended up not saying it anyway. Each time I asked him what was wrong, he would tell me everything was fine.
