THEA
"Thea, are you alright?" Bella asked, watching me with a worry look on her face.
"I'm okay, Bella."
I was not really. I woke up feeling nauseous, and my stomach felt funny too. It was probably from the oysters Arthur ordered last night, it tasted disgusting. I threw up once last night after I ate it. Arthur claimed the oysters tasted alright. He must have messed up his tastebud because there was no way it tasted good.
"You look a bit pale." Grey said this time. "You should go home and take some rest, Thea. I'm sur Boss won't mind."
I shook my head. "No, I'm alright. I can do this."
I took a deep breath and tried to focus on work. Bella and Grey shrugged and continued to work. I tried to finish some papers when Patricia called me, saying Matthew asked for me. I followed her to Matthew's office room and she left me.
When I walked into the room, Matthew was writing something on the notebook.
He stopped writing and glanced up. "Hey, I'd like to talk about- Thea, are you okay?"
I sighed and took a seat in front of him. "I'm fine, I just got a lil dizzy, that's all."
He watched me carefully. "Are you sure? You look pale."
"I'm perfectly fine, what do you want to talk about?"
He looked like he wanted to protest but shook his head anyway. "Alright, I want you to look through these files and," he continued, explaining to me what to do.
I tried to stay focus on him, I really did. I blinked a few times as my vision started to get blur. And I got even more nauseous. I shook my head and took a deep breath.
But not even 5 minutes later, I felt a lump on my throat. Instantly, I ran into the bathroom holding my mouth close. I heard Matthew called my name but my face already face-down the toilet as I threw up.
"Jesus, what the hell did you eat, Thea?" Matthew said behind me, holding my hair back.
After throwing my stomach all up, I looked up and took a breath. My eyesight went dark. "I'm not sure, probably the oysters Arthur ordered last night. I swear to God, it tasted disgusting."
I tried to stand up, Matthew helped me.
"Do you want to go the hospital?"
I shook her head instantly. "No, I feel better now. But if you have a spare toothbrush I could use, that would be great."
He opened the cabinet and took out a spare toothbrush. But before he could hand it to me, I felt another lump and got down on the toilet again. I cursed at myself as my throat burnt. I swore to never eat oysters again.
"That's it, I'm taking you to the hospital." I heard Matthew said behind me. I looked up, wanted to protest but he beat me to it. "Just to make sure you don't get food poisoning."
I sighed in protest but he was right, I needed to make sure I didn't get food poisoning. "Okay, but please don't tell Arthur yet."
"I won't."
We left to the hospital after I cleaned up myself, using Matthew's car. I was quiet the whole time, my mouth tasted bitter, though I felt much better after vomiting. I avoided the hospital where Arthur's parents work, just so I didn't have to bump into them and bothered them. I didn't want to worry them.
After I registered my name and waited for the next 30 minutes, my name was finally being called. I walked into the room whilst Matthew stayed outside to give me privacy.
