THEA

"Do I look okay?" I turned around and gave my husband the closer look of my backless dress.

Arthur gave me a funny look. "Who are you trying to impress? Your brother in law?"

I rolled my eyes and hit his arm playfully. "I'm simply asking if I look okay."

"You look stunning, as always."

The door opened to my brother in law wearing white sweater. He invited us to dinner last week but Arthur and I just came back from our trip in Paris 2 days ago so that dinner just happened tonight.

"Hey, Thea." Matthew gave me a side hug before he nodded at Arthur. "Williams."

"Wilson."

"We brought you some wine from Paris." I handed him the red wine we bought in Paris.

He took it from my hand. "Thank you. Come in, guys."

I had been to Matthew's house once a few months ago from the gathering party and still remembered the house. It hadn't changed much except some Christmas decorations. The house was quiet yet seemed comfortable.

We mostly talked about my sister, basically me learning to know more about her. It had been too late but I just wanted to know how my sister were. There was a time where I cried, when Matthew told me the journey of her illness. How she was first diagnosed with breast cancer and the day she finally passed away in her sleep. It had been hard for him to tell me the story.

"It was a boring Tuesday when Olive breathed her last breath. She told me she wanted to take a nap, only for me to realize that she indeed took her last ever nap."

I couldn't even imagine being in his position. To lose someone you loved from cancer forever.

"But that's just how Olive was. She didn't want me to worry for her. Silly her."

"She sounded like you, darling." Arthur wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

I smiled at the thought of my sister.

Matthew then took something from the box underneath him. "It's an album filled with her photos, mostly from her teen. I think you need it more than I do."

Taking the album from his hand, I opened the first page to a photo of her wearing a school uniform. She was standing with a man and a woman whom I guessed her foster parents. She looked just like me when I was young.

"Thanks, Matt. I'll be sure to keep her things with me."

Matthew and Arthur also grew a bond, it was basically their first meeting as in laws. There was an awkwardness at first but they went along almost immediately. But of course there was a time where Arthur being stupid, telling Matthew not to flirt with me, as a joke.

"Oh my God you did not just say that to him, Arthur!" I hit my husband's thigh.

Matthew laughed. "It's okay, I completely understood where he came from. Don't worry, mate, I will never do something like that to Thea. Flirting with her means that I disrespect Olive, no matter how much Thea portraits her. Plus, she is my sister in law. I'm not the type of man who flirts with my own family."
