THEA

"Darling, come on, I'm gonna be late for the meeting." Arthur laughed as I trapped him in my hug.

Before he left for work, he leaned in to give me a kiss, that was when I managed to trap him into my hug. It had been 10 minutes and I was not planning to let him go.

Call me clingy, but I didn't want him to leave me.

Ever since I got pregnant, especially during my second trimester, it was hard to see my husband go to work in the morning. My heart broke each time I watched him leave, as if he was leaving forever.

I had never felt that way before, I blamed the hormone that made me become sensitive.

There was a few occasion where I would hide his shoes-the one he usually wears for work-, hide his work bag, or refuse to let him go when we woke up. Arthur found it amusing that I had been quite 'clingy', he said he loved it when I got clingy like that.

I wished he would skip work and spend time with me instead, but I knew he needed to work to feed his family, for us, because money doesn't come at anytime we want, even though we were financially stable.

"Come on, darling." He said softly as I wouldn't let him go.

I shook my head. "I don't want you to go."

He let out a sigh and kissed my head. "Okay, how about this.. Come with me to my office. You wait for me in the penthouse while I attend the meeting, then we're going shopping for baby essentials."

My eyes instantly lit up with the idea, I looked up at him and grinned. "I would love that!"

"Okay, go get changed then."

We talked about this the other night. Arthur suggested that we should start buying baby stuff as I was due in the next 3 months. We also agreed to turn his study room into our baby's room, and moved his study room downstairs instead as we only had 3 rooms upstairs. My old bedroom was too small for the baby.

We had planned to start decorating the room this week.

Once we arrived in his office, Arthur took me straight to the penthouse.

"I'll be in the meeting for an hour, will you be okay waiting here?"

I nodded as I sat down on the big sofa. "I'll be fine. You go ahead."

He nodded then kissed my forehead. He pointed to the telephone on his desk. "If you need anything, just dial 1, it goes straight to Mark's telephone."

"Okay, thank you."

He kissed me one more time before leaving me alone in his penthouse.

I walked around the room, trying to find something to do to kill the time. I walked over to his bookshelves and looked through the books he owned. He didn't have many books except some Sherlock Holmes and a few history books. He was into mystery and history books I guessed.

My eyes then caught this red book in between some dark color books. Curious, I took it out to see what the book was, only to find out it was actually a photo album. Opening the cover, my heart sank to the first photo on the first page.

It was a photo of Arthur and Jessy, holding each other arms while they kissed. Arthur looked way younger that he was now, the photo was probably taken when he was still in high school.

I flipped to the next page to see more photos of them together. I could see how happy Arthur was, by the look in his eyes and how wide his smile was. If I were not married to him, I could honestly tell how perfect they looked together. They way Arthur looked at Jessy in those photos, the way his eyes held so much adoration whenever he looked at her, I could tell how much he loved Jessy.
