THEA
Another day another life at home, doing nothing but sleep. It had been 3 months since I took a break from work, things had been different since then.
Bella, Greyson, and I did a facetime every once in a while, basically them filling me in on all the things I had missed at work. Bella filled my position as an advisor for a while until I got back to work.
"We got a brand new coffee machine in the pantry, and oh Boss is throwing another gathering party in his house soon." Grey said as we talked on facetime during their lunch break.
I wished I didn't have to take a break from work, I was only 19 weeks pregnant and I could definitely do the work. I no longer experienced morning sickness for the last 2 weeks so I should have been fine to work. But knowing Arthur, he got a bit overprotective over me. I get that he didn't want me to stress over work and stuff, but sometimes it got a bit too much.
"We have missed you, Thea. Work feels different without you." Bella said it this time.
I smiled. "I have missed you both two, and I definitely miss being at work."
Arthur had gone to work earlier this morning, and as usual I was left in the house, trying to do anything productive. Sometimes I got stressed just being at home all the time. I tried everything to kill the time. Read books, watch TV, baked some cakes, but nothing lessen the boredom of being kept at home.
I was going to read another book when I received a text from Tony.
Tony: hey, just talked to Celine last night
Tony: we're going out today, come join us.Me: Celine is here???
Tony: yup. You're coming, rite?
Like hell I would miss meeting my best-friends after not seeing them for years.
Me: Of course! What time are we going?
Tony: is 2 okay for you?
Tony: I'll pick you up before going to Celine'sMe: Sure, that'll be fun.
Me: You still remember the way to my house?Tony: I do, don't worry.
Tony: see you laterI was ecstatic. Not only that I could finally get out of the house after a while, Celine was in town too, it had been a while since I last met her. And the three of us could finally reunite again after years.
I texted Arthur to let him know I was going out, I waited for his reply but he called me instead.
"Can I go please?" I asked once I answered his phone call.
"Darling, you know you need to rest."
I groaned as I heard that sentence again. "Arthur, I've been resting for weeks!"
"I know, darling, but you heard it yourself that Mum told you to-"
"Avoid heavy physical activities, I know." I cut off his words as I was getting tired to hear that excuse. "But being at home for weeks stresses me more than anything. And going out is not a heavy activity by the way."
"Thea, please understand that I'm doing this because I care about you."
"I know you do, and I thank you for that. But I'm just going to meet my friends, not going on a war."
Sometimes it annoyed me whenever Arthur forbid me to go outside, or do 'physical' activities like I was the most fragile person in the whole world. I understood he was like that because he cared for me-which I was grateful for- but he needed to calm down for a bit.
