“Ms. Jackson, how’s your day been?” It was finally Thursday and as soon as I was done with all morning classes, I rushed over to work. And here he was, Grey, looking handsome as ever, leaning on my desk.

“Hi Mr. Grey. My day’s been fine, how about you?”

“It’s okay. It’s even better now” he winked at me before heading into his office.

I stared at him as he walked into his office. He didn’t seem like his normal self. He actually seemed, and sounded, happy.

After clearing my mind from anything about Grey, I turned on my laptop to start working, but before I could, I noticed a new email.

Ms. Jackson,

It really is an amazing day, isn’t it. Now that you’re actually here, work feels so much more lively.

Christopher Grey,

CEO of Grey's Designs

I felt my stomach turn as I read his email, and my lips lifted themselves into a smile. I quickly sent him a reply.

Mr. Grey,

I’m glad you’re enjoying my presence at your company. As you may know, I’ll be here the entire day tomorrow, so you won’t need to suffer anymore.

From: Christopher Grey

Ms. Jackson,

Before I forget, I wanted to let you know there’s a meeting today, and I want you to come with me. It’s about the new designs I submitted, which includes your dress.

Meet me in my office in five minutes.

Christopher Grey,

CEO of Grey's Designs

From: MacKayla Jackson

Mr. Grey,

Weren’t the designs due next week? Why are we going to a meeting for them now?

MacKayla Jackson,

Utterly Confused, Fashion Assistant at Grey's Designs

To: MacKayla Jackson

Subject: Design Submittion

From: Christopher Grey

Ms. Jackson,

The meeting today is not for submitting the designs; it’s to get more ideas and perspectives on it. Since I’m submitting a design from an intern, they want us to join the meeting. I usually don’t enjoy going to these meetings ever, and I usually choose not to, but since you’re new and in training, I decided it would be beneficial to you.

Meet me in three minutes.

Christopher Grey,

CEO of Grey's Designs
