Chapter Twenty One

The room was filled with our heavy breaths as we both came down from our orgasms. Chris was on top of me, his head nuzzled into my neck.

“You never fail to amaze me Ms. Jackson” He spoke as our breaths became even. Kissing my forehead, he moved to the side and plopped up on his elbow.

“Nor do you Mr. Grey” I replied and noticed his lips quirk up for a light smile. “So, you’ve emptied out your entire schedule for today; what do you want to do?”

“Well we can do anything you want, but I wanted to take you somewhere tonight”

“Where?”

“For dinner”

“I’d love that” I replied as I leant in to kiss him briefly.

We laid on the bed silently as he ran his fingers through my hair and gently rubbed my back.

“I’m glad I hired you, or else I wouldn’t have met someone as special as you”

“And I’m glad Jade pushed me for applying for this internship”

“You didn’t want to apply?”

“I didn’t think I had a chance”

“Well you shouldn’t think that; what if your friend hadn’t pushed you further into applying for this job?”

“Then I guess we would’ve never met”

“No, we wouldn’t have, but I’m glad she did, and you did apply, and that you’re working here” He said as he leaned in close to kiss me. His hands moved to the sides of my face as he cupped it tightly and forced his tongue into my mouth. He wanted more.

As he deepened the kiss, my phone rang.

“Ignore it” Chris spoke into the kiss.

“I can’t; I should get it” I said as I parted away from him. Wrapping the sheet around my naked body, I walked towards the nightstand where my bag was. Though the ringing stopped, I pulled out my phone and noticed one missed call from Jade.

“It’s Jade; I should call her up”

“Okay” He replied as he put on his boxers and headed to the bathroom connected to the room.

“MacKayla, where are you?” Jade spoke through the phone.

“Hey Jade. I’m at Chris’ place right now. Sorry I didn’t tell you, but you were asleep when I left and remembering last night, I didn’t want to wake you up”

“You could’ve left a note”

“Oh, right. Sorry about that”

“It’s okay. So when will you be back?”

“He’s taking me out for dinner, so maybe late”

I heard her giggle on the other side before replying, “Okay; I’m probably gonna go out with Jake tonight”

“Another party?”

“I don’t know. He just wanted to hang… well he said the three of us should hang, but I’ll let him know you can’t, again”

“I’m sorry. Maybe another day; what about next weekend?”

“I’ll ask him, but I’m sure he’ll make his schedule empty for you anytime”

“Jade!”

“What? It’s true! He’s completely in love with you; I can’t believe you can’t see that”

“He doesn’t love me; we’re just friends”

She laughed before continuing in a sarcastic tone, “Yeah, just friends”

“I’m serious Jade”

“So am I”

“Well, I’ll talk to you tonight”

“Okay. Bye MacKayla!”

“Bye Jade; and take some medicine… you wouldn’t want a headache”

“Okay. Bye”

“Who doesn’t love you?” Chris asked behind me as I placed my phone back into my bag.

“No one”

He cocked his head to one side, “Who was Jade talking about?”

“No one; it doesn’t matter”

“Are you going to tell me, or will I have to take it out of you?”

“And how are you going to do that?”

“I can be quite persistent” He took a step closer to me, and I took a step back.

“Oh, so you wanna play that game” A smirk grew on his face.

“I didn’t think we were playing”

He shook his head, “What am I going to do with you?”

“I can think of a few things”

He chuckled before coming towards me, and this time I didn’t move back. Instead, I stood where I was until he reached me and swept me into his arms.

“Chris! Let me down!”

“Oh baby, you know I can’t do that” He nuzzled his nose into my hair and kissed my head.

“And why not?”

“Because you still haven’t told me who you were talking about”

“Well you shouldn’t have been listening to my conversation” I rebutted.

“That’s fair, I suppose” He replied and I put on a smug face.

“So is everything from yesterday taken care of?”  I asked as he put me on the bed and sat beside me.

“It’s getting there”

“Who’s Eric?”

“My older brother”

“You know, you never did answer me yesterday”

“And what did I not answer?”

“Did you and Caroline ever date?”

He looked away and put his lips in a straight line before replying, “No, we never dated”

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing; I don’t want to talk about her, not right now”

“Is everything alright?”

“Yes, everything’s fine”

“Then why doesn’t it seem like it?”

“You ask way too many questions Ms. Jackson” He kissed my cheek and stood up and took out his hand for me, “Come”

“Where?”

“Let’s take a bath”

Taking his hand, he led me into his bathroom. I noticed the bathtub filled with water and the room was a bit steamy. He must’ve done this while I was on the phone with Jade.

He turned to face me and lightly kissed me as his hands dropped to the sheets covering my body. He slowly let them fall to the ground, as his hands wandered my body. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. He started leaving soft kisses on my cheek, then down to my jaw, and went down to my neck. I moved my head to one side, so he could have better access. He gently tugged on my earlobe before stepping away and looking at my naked body.

“You are one fine sight Ms. Jackson”

I felt my cheeks heat up and held his hand out to lead me to the bathtub.
