We were in Chris’s bedroom now. He was on the phone with his parents and I was changing into my clothes. Even though I had my back turned to him, I could feel his eyes glaring into me.

“Yes mom, I understand. I’ll try my best. Algright. I’ll see you soon. Bye” Chris spoke into the phone. I turned around when I was finally done changing.

“Everything alright?” I asked him.

“Yeah. My parents wanted me to join them for dinner” He said.

He made dinner plans with me, but this is his family. “You’re going?”

“Yes, but I want you to come with me”

I recalled the last time I met his mother and flushed.

“What’s wrong?” Chris asked as he lifted my chin.

“Nothing. I was just thinking about the first time I met your mother”

He smirked, “Well that was surely unexpected. And don’t worry about that. It’ll be fun. I want you to meet them.

Oh!

“Okay. But can we go to my home first so I can change” I looked down at my outfit and it was not something I would wear to meet someone’s parents.

“What’s wrong with what you’re wearing right now?” He asked.

“It’s not acceptable”

“It’s fine. Don’t worry about it”

“Chris, the first time I saw your mother wasn’t pleasant. Yes, it was surprising. I just want to dress appropriately for her. Please?”

He sighed but agreed, “Okay, let me go get Brandon”

“Who is he?” I asked. I remember seeing him before but never asked.

“He’s my bodyguard and driver. Come” He grabs my hand and leads me out of his room. “Stay here. Let me go get him” He walked into a room and came out with Brandon.

Brandon drove to my apartment in Chris’s car. Chris and I were seated in the back. His hand was placed lightly on my thigh, slowly moving up. I shot him a glare but he was looking straight at the road. His hand was resting over my jeans near my throbbing core. I moaned softly into his ear and he smirked. “Already so needy?” He asked. I glanced towards Brandon but he didn’t seem to notice. I can’t believe Chris is doing this in the backseat of his car. Brandon can hear probably hear me, so I tried to stay quiet.

I closed my eyes and put my head back but didn’t reply.

“Don’t worry, we’re almost to your home” He moved his hand away from me, making me frustrated at the sudden loss. He smiled a carefree smile and kissed me swiftly on my lips.

The car stopped outside of my apartment. Chris got out of the car and opened the door for me.

When I reached inside my apartment, I was shocked. Jade wasn’t home alone. Jake was here too.

“Hey MacKayla” Jake greeted me with a bear hug and a kiss on the cheek. I felt Chris stiffen beside me.

“What are you doing here?” I asked as he let go of me.

“Why must there always be a reason for me coming over to my friend’s home? Besides, Jade was getting bored”

“Of course. Where is she?”

“In your room looking for something to wear” I rolled my eyes and walked towards my room. “I’ll be ready soon. Just make yourself feel at home” I told Chris before walking into my room.

“What are you doing, Jade?” I asked her as I shut the bedroom door. Clothes were everywhere and my room was such a big mess.

“Oh hey. When’d you come home?”

“Just now. I needed to change”

“Why?”

“I’m going to go meet Chris’ parents”

“Oh wow, isn’t it a bit soon?”

“Well I already met his mom last night” I sighed.

“Oh”

“Yeah, so what were you looking for exactly?”

“Remember that cute top you got from the mall before I went on vacation?”

“Yeah”

“That one”

I rolled my eyes and searched my closet for it. I knew she loved it but that top was one of my favorites and I didn’t want her to always wear it. Yes, I was acting selfish but everything she wears of mine, she ends up getting it ruined and I didn’t want that to happen to this one, but I guess I just have to trust her.

“Here” I handed her the top before continuing, “Now remember, this top is very nice so please don’t ruin it like the rest”

“Don’t worry MacKayla, it’ll be completely fine” She chirped as she walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.

Now for me, what shall I wear to dinner. After searching through the mess, I finally found what I was looking for. I got ready in about twenty minutes and then headed out to see if Chris approved. When I walked out though, Jake and Chris were sitting in the living room, on two different couches, staring at each other but not saying a word. They were just staring at each other. The tension between the two of them was stiff so I coughed in the back to make them realize I was there. When Chris saw me, he stood up and walked my way.

“You look beautiful” He said as he kissed my temple. “Ready to go?”

I nodded my head, “Yeah. I’ll see you soon Jake” I gave him a light hug before walking out the door, hand in hand, with Chris.
