2. Manifesting Abilities is Annoying

"I'm all of that?" I say as Mr. Forkle explains that I have 13 abilities.
"Yes, we saw that it all worked out for Sophie and well you were already born powerful so we decided to go full out."

"But what about her being a demigod?" Percy asks.
"Demigod?" Keefe asks.
"Do you know the Greek gods?" Percy asks him. He nods slowly.
"One of a demigods parents is a god." He says.
"Which one is it?" He asks.
"That's where we were going to find out." I say. "Until we were kidnapped." I add throwing them a look.

"You'll find out soon enough." Mr. Forkle says casually. "Now you have to practice to learn to control all of your abilities."
"Now?"
"The sooner the better." He says. "We've waited long enough."

"Wait, where will they stay?" Dex asks.
"I'm supposed to stay here?" I ask.
"Yes."
"We're supposed to go to Camp Half-blood." Percy reminds us.
"Yes, but that can all be done later." One of the Councillors says. They're starting to annoy me.

"We have been waiting for you for a while now." He says walking towards me. I stand up taller.

"You hold great power. Not only what we have added but naturally you were quite powerful." He says.
"We have to turn yours on now." Mr Forkle says.
"What?" Keefe asks looking at him confused.
"We put her abilities on hold, so once she was ready they could all start. A few of them have began naturally though." That only makes me more confused. I've already had some? What?

"You guys are stressing her out." Keefe says fanning the air. "Stop it."
"Yes this is stressful but it'll make sense." Mr Forkle says.

"Blair we have brought you some stuff to get them to activate." Mr. Forkle says. "You can take them here or with a few less of us. However you'd like." I sigh looking at the small pills in his hand.

I look at the people around me. The councillors are standing around. Most of the kids are here. Percy is at my side his pen in hand.

I want the councilors to leave, they make me scared. It's like they're hiding things. I don't want to say it though. I take the pills and some of the water. I take a sip of water first. It's different than regular water. It's good.
"Youth water." Mr. Forkle says.
"You get used to it." Sophie says. I nod slowly.

I throw the pills in and take them down with the water. Mr. Forkle smiles.
"They'll start soon." He says.
"Why don't you guys give Blair and her friend here a tour of the cities?" A female councilor says.

We walk out.
"So you feel any different?" Keefe asks me.
"No. Not really." I say.
"Well if you need any help let us know." Sophie says.
"Yeah Sophie knows all about the messing with the DNA thing." Fitz says. I nod slowly.
"Does that mean I'm a part of the Blackswan now?" I ask.
"Yeah, you really don't have much of a choice." Keefe says.

"Well, we should go check out Atlantis first." Dex says.
"We probably shouldn't lightleap since they don't know how." Biana says.
"Can you teleport us?" Fitz asks Sophie.
"Yeah I just need help lifting us." She says.
"Yeah, okay."

I take a step back. I fall. Percy grabs my arm before I hit the ground. Keefe starts laughing.
"Phaser." He says shaking his head.
"What?" I say trying to stand up. I can't. I look down and my leg is in the ground. "Umm help." I say scared.
"None of us are phasers but that's normal it happens when you first get it." Dex says. I nod.
"Okay but how do I get my leg out of the ground?"
"Not sure." Keefe says doing horrible at hiding his laughter.

I sigh. I try to think. I start to think of my leg as dissolvable. I feel it disappear. I pull my leg out and it comes out.
"Woah it takes most people a while to get out." Fitz says.

Percy helps me stand up.
"You good?" He asks quietly. I nod.

"This is going to be good." Keefe says grinning. I look down at myself half expecting for me to explode with flashing lights.

We start walking.
"Blair." Percy says scared.
"What?" I ask. He freezes looking around.
"Where are you?"
"Vanishers." Fitz mutters. Biana laughs.
"Yes." She says.
"What?" I ask.
"You just disappeared and reappeared." Percy says.
"I did?"
"Yeah." Percy says scared.

"I'm one too, they're great." Biana says. "Just focus and relax." She says. I'm still very confused. "Oh and different light will make you come in and out." She adds.

"Here look try it. Imagine the light around us covering you." She says. I nod slowly as I try it.
"You did it." She says excitedly.

After a while a bunch of random things start to happen, I try to figure them out, and somewhat figure them out, oh and lots of laughing from Keefe and his bodyguard Ro.

They had showed me around.

We go back to wherever it is that we were.

Mr. Forkle is waiting there for me.
"Where would you like to stay tonight?" He asks me and Percy.
"I don't know." I say.
"You can stay with any of them as long as their parents are okay with it." He says.

"I don't mind letting them stay with me for a little bit." A blonde man says. He looks over at Keefe. I notice Keefes expression. He looks annoyed.

"Who's that?" I transmit to Keefe.
"My dad."

"I'm lord Cassius." He says looking at me. "And I heard you are quite powerful. Something tells me you will be of great help." I get weird vibes from him right away. I can feel emotions of annoyance and hatred coming around me.

"Why don't you guys like him?" I ask Sophie mentally.
"He's not a good dad, or person, really. Hes quite mentally abusive towards Keefe." She tells me. I feel sad for Keefe. He's such a happy and jokeful person and he's treated like that.
"What about his mom?" I ask Sophie.
"She's a leader of the Neverseen." The Neverseen. The bad ones. My heart sinks.

"Actually I kinda wanted to be with the group in case anything happened." I say. He smiles while narrowing his eyes.
"Alright."
"Why don't we all sleepover at my house?" Sophie says. "As long as it's okay with Grady and Edaline."
"Yes, of course." A woman says.

"I actually already have two rooms ready for them." Lord Cassius says.
"Well-."
"It's fine. We can stay there tonight and tomorrow we'll figure someone else out." I say.
"Perfect."

Keefe gives me a concerned look. I smile softly.
