I'm staring at the pathfinder wondering if I should do it.
I look at the time, it's 6:50.
I transmit to Keefe.
"I'm gonna do it."
"Huh?"
"I'm going to see her."
"B, are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"Do you want me to come with?"
"No, I'm sure I'll be fine. Besides this is something I have to do on my own."
"Okay, well, make sure you let me know if anything happens."
"Will do."
I lightleap.
I see a woman standing. It has to be her.
I take a deep breath before walking over. She smiles.
She has brown hair with blue eyes. She looks like me apart from the eyes.
"Hi Blair." She says stepping closer to grab my arms.
"Hi." I say trying to think of what to say.
"I know you have a lot of questions." She says. I nod.
"Who are you? Like I know you're my mom but like-."
"My name is Arwen. I'm a telepath and phaser. I have been working with the Blackswan for as long as I can remember. I was searching for the Neverseen down in the human world when I met your father. Neither of us knew what the other was, until I found out I was pregnant. Zeus was worried about the prophecy and we agreed to take you to the Blackswan. There, Forkle said I should leave you with the humans for a couple of years. I agreed." She says softly.
"So, you still work for them?" I ask. She nods.
"I am. Once you came here I decided to work undercover so you wouldn't realize, but I've made sure to watch over you."
"What made you decide to finally tell me?"
"I've been wanting to tell you since you got here, I just didn't know how."
"Okay." I say looking down.
"Blair, I'm so sorry."
"It's okay."
We continue to talk and I understand her a lot more.
A couple weeks have gone by.
Keefe's on my bed and I'm on my chair. We're arguing over the elves being vegetarian but their food tasting like meat anyways.
There's a knock at the door.
"Come in!" I yell.
Arwen comes in. She looks at Keefe then at me.
"Hey." I say.
"Hi." She says smiling at us.
"So you're the one that gave life to Blair." Keefe says. Arwen laughs.
"Yeah."
"What's going on?" I ask her.
"Let's go to Greece. You and I tomorrow morning." She says.
"What?" I ask sitting up.
"Come on. It'll only be two days."
"Oh my god. Yeah." I say.
"Great. Let's see what you have." She says walking to my closet.
She starts pulling out some flowy skirts and dresses.
"Chose two of these and a bathing suit. I'll be back tomorrow morning." She says before walking out.
I sigh and walk over to the clothes. I instantly pick out a short white dress. I look at the rest.
"This one." Keefe says pointing to a green dress.
"Thank you." I say before snapping them both away.
"Now what bathing suit?" I mutter walking to my drawer.
"The pink one." Keefe says leaning back on my bed.
"Okay." I say snapping it away.
In the morning Arwen and I teleport to Athens.
"What if we see Zeus?" I ask as we walk around.
"Oh, I have a lot to say to that man." She says. I laugh softly.
"I have a question." I say. She nods for me to continue. "Did you love him?"
"Oh boy." She mutters. "I loved the man I thought he was." I smile softly.
"You could do better." I say. She smiles.
"Enough about me. What's going on with you and Keefe?" She asks. I smile turning away.
"Nothing."
"I don't believe that."
"We're just friends."
"He's in love with you." She says.
"No, he's not." I laugh.
"You know it too, you just don't realize cause the feeling goes both ways." She says. I don't know what to say. I try to ignore my cheeks heating up.
"What's your last name?" I ask changing the subject.
"It's also Cain. I requested for you to have it too." She says smiling.
"We're the Cain women." I say laughing.
"That we are."
We walk down to the beach. The sand is warm and soft.
"I knew it." A voice says behind us. It's Zeus.
"What are you doing?" I ask him.
"What am I doing? What are you doing?" He asks.
"What we do does not concern you." Arwen says. Zeus stares at her.
"Just love following me around, don't you?" I ask. He looks at me before stepping forward.
Arwen steps towards him blocking me.
"One last thing, if you ever lay your hands on my daughter again, I will destroy you."
"She's mine too." Zeus says.
"We've had this conversation before. Go home." I say.
He starts walking off.
"Hes so annoying." I mutter.
"He definitely can be."
We're spending our last couple of hours here before going back. I'm walking on the sand and the waves crash against my feet. I'm thinking.
I need to make a comeback. I need to destroy the Neverseen.
"What are you thinking about?" Arwen asks me softly.
"Just trying to figure out my revenge."
"Blair, revenge is one of the strongest things. You just have to do it right. Attack when they least expect it." She says.
"But do what?"
"They hurt you. They took you. And they will continue until they have what they want. What is it that they want?"
"They want to win." I say.
"More importantly who do they want?"
"Keefe." I mutter.
"And?"
"Me. They want Keefe to do his legacy, and they want me to join them." I say. She smiles softly.
"You are a powerful entity, Blair. Use it wisely. Once they know your weaknesses they will hit you there."
"Thank you." I say hugging her.
