"You really won't tell us?" Vikki asked, but I shook my head.

"I can't, Vikki, I'm sorry." I said as she curled my hair, pinning it back as Crowe did my make-up. When that was done, I stood and got into my dress, holding my chest as Vikki buttoned the back of my dress. When someone knocked on the door, I smiled as my dad stepped in wearing a plain black suit.

"You look beautiful, Atalie." He said and I couldn't help it as I felt tears welling. A beautiful corpse.

"Are you ready?" Crowe asked and I nodded, leaving the room with them. As we got to the Square, dad held my arm and the precession began going out, leaving just us.

"Are you sure, Atalie?" Dad asked one final time and I took a deep breath, nodding as we began walking towards my death. Noctis, concerned for me and needing someone to talk to, went to our father to talk about my death vision. He had tried to call off the wedding, but I wouldn't let him. I'd changed the future enough already. I forced a smile as I walked towards Nyx, but he knew it was fake and knew my vision, whatever horrors it held, was weighing heavily on my mind. He just didn't know how.

"I love you, Atalie." Dad whispered as he handed me to Nyx, making me smile as I mouthed the words back, the wedding beginning. It was just before the vows that I heard the unholy screaming, felt the earth shake, and looked up to see the daemons at the wall.

"Daemons?! How?!" Crowe asked, but I gave a sad smile.

"The Astrals." I whispered and let go of Nyx, lifting my dress as I went back down the aisle.

"Atalie-" Nyx stopped as I looked at him then I saw the realization dawn in his eyes.

"Your vision." I smiled sadly then looked at the wall, taking a deep breath and reaching inside for the power the Astrals had given me, knowing the blinding blue light would make everyone look away. At least he won't see me die.

Nyx's POV
I groaned as I rubbed my eyes, slowly blinking as rain began to fall and soak all of us. I looked back at Atalie then stared as I saw her on the ground, her hair as dark as her brother's now and her dress soaked.

"Atalie!" I breathed, running towards her.

"Princess!" I heard many voices call, but I grabbed her and kneeled on the ground, holding her close.

"Come on, open your eyes!" I begged, hugging her to my chest.

"Please, open your eyes!" I whispered, the rain falling harder and the storm gathering in my own heart darkening.

"Nyx." I looked at Noctis then saw him shake his head.

"You-you knew?! And you did nothing?!" I snarled, but he flinched and I knew he was just as upset.

"She made me swear!" He said and I looked at Atalie then held her cheek, seeing she had on waterproof makeup.

"Not like this, Atalie! You swore, not like this!" I whispered and looked up as I felt cold, seeing Shiva.

"You bitch-"

"The other Astrals know not of my presence here." She said and I watched her kneel, softly touching Atalie's head.

"Her words moved me. A young thing, just wanting to live her life with her soulmate and her family." She said then I waited, the air tense as everyone watched.

"You birthed her with your power to kill her?!" Ignis growled, but Shiva shook her head as we continued to wait.

"She was born with our gift of sight to be lonely, that is what Ramuh and Bahamut wanted. She was to be free of relationships, a woman claimed by no man or woman, yet she's human. You humans are so hard to control." She said and I looked down as I heard a gasp, seeing Atalie's dark blue eyes opening.

"Atalie!" I laughed, brushing her hair back as she looked up at me confused.

"Ho-How?" She breathed, looking at Shiva and smiling.

"Thank you."

"Thank you for being the perfect human, Atalie Caelum. Enjoy your long life." Shiva said and slowly disappeared, taking the rains with her.

"Why didn't you tell me, dammit?!" He yelled as I sat in the living space of our apartment, the wedding cut off after my grand death-rebirth. I looked at my brother as he sat on the corner of the fireplace, but he was being quietly chewed out by Ignis.

"Atalie, please!" Nyx yelled and I looked at him as I crossed my arms.

"If I told you, you'd have wanted to change it-"

"You're fucking right about that!" He laughed and I huffed, laying my head back and trying to focus my thoughts.

"Nyx, I'm not dead-"

"Only because Shiva came and revived you!" Libs yelled and I glared at him, but he had a point.

"Look, I was born-"

"And Noctis was born to fucking die too! Guess what?! You fucking changed that! We could have figured out something, Atalie! It's what we do, we work together!" Nyx yelled and I stood, glaring at him.

"If all you're going to do is sit here and scream at me for trying to protect you and my family, then fuck you, Nyx!" I yelled and turned, going to the bed area and grabbing a change of clothes.

Nyx's POV
I huffed as I heard her behind the screen and curtains blocking the bed from our sight, changing her clothes, but Crowe gave me a sad smile.

"Nyx, she changed the future and the Astrals told her she should have left it be, should have let all of us die. She didn't want to change the future again and cause a worse consequence. Please, think of this from her point of view." She said then took Libs' hand and pulled him from my home.

"I'm sorry, Nyx." Noctis whispered, his three lovers dragging him out. As the door shut, I ran a hand through my hair as I held my hip, trying to think of a better way I could have handled that.

"Atalie, please come here!" I called through the silent apartment and turned as I heard the screen move, seeing her in her pajamas, which hurt since she liked to sleep in my clothes.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have yelled. Thank you for trying to protect me, but I'm your partner, we're in this together, I was more pissed that you had risked your life and-"

"And how much do you risk your life without telling me, Hero?!" She asked as she crossed her arms, her words like a slap to the face.

"I'm sorry, you're right." I said and went towards her, but she threw her hands up to silently tell me to stop.

"How about you sleep out here tonight, Nyx?" She said and went to the bed, throwing my pillow and an extra blanket at me.

"Since you obviously don't want to talk to me without yelling, I'm not going to deal with this tonight. Good night, Nyx." She said and went to the bed, leaving me to sleep on the chairs in the living room.

"I love you." I mumbled to myself, sitting in a chair and regretting the last three hours of my life.
