The past week flew by and today we were breaking up for the summer holidays. I've been managing to sleep a lot better now thanks to Snape too!
This morning I felt something hit my face, it was cold and wasn't very pleasant. I turned over ignoring it but then I got drenched. I shot up to see Pansy and Draco stood at the other side of the room, their wands pointing at something above my head. I looked up to see two empty buckets suspended over my bed.
I jumped out of bed yelling. "What do you think you're doing?" the pair of them began to laugh hysterically. "Come on Y/N, we need to catch the train in an hour and you haven't even packed yet". My face dropped as I looked around my room. I slapped my palm to my forehead and moaned.
"We will meet you at breakfast okay?" Pansy giggled. I nodded and began to gather my stuff together. I couldn't be bothered to pack it up neatly so I threw it all in my trunk and got dressed. I didn't even bother to make my bed, I just left it how it was and headed down to the great hall. I was starving!
I took my luggage and put it in the common room along with everyone else's, then made my way down to the great hall.
I signalled to Pansy and Draco that I wouldn't be long, I just needed to say goodbye to the trio and a few others. I sat down next to Hermione and she suddenly pulled me into a hug which shocked me. "I'm going to miss you Y/N. Do you know where you're staying?" she asked concerned.
I nodded, taking a bite of Ron's toast which he complained at, obviously. "I'm staying with Draco" I declared. Harry spat his juice out, earning a disapproving look from Hermione and me. "What are you staying there for? You could just stay with us at Ron's" he said angrily.
I kicked him under the table. "Harry, I can stay where I like. Besides, wouldn't the Burrow be too full. And how many times must I tell you, stop being rude to Draco? He cares about me" he rolled his eyes, earning himself another kick. "Stop that!" he yelled at me.
I just sniggered then got up to leave. "I'll see you all in September. Don't forget to write, love you all!" I didn't turn back around to wave or anything, just strutted over to the Slytherin table to join Pansy and Dray.
I sat down next to them both and sighed happily. "What's got you in such a good mood?" Draco asked. I looked at him contentedly and smiled, "nothing! Can't I be happy for once?" But, I didn't say it in a rude way like I usually would.
He gave me a puzzled look and carried on eating. In all fairness, I wasn't sure why I was so happy. I've not felt this great in a long time. But it sure feels good!
Arriving at Kingscross
People began to pile out of the train and onto the platform to be greeted by their parents. Draco suggested we wait until the crowds die down a little bit and we agreed. "My mother can't wait to meet you both!" he beamed, causing Pansy and I to smile happily. I couldn't wait to meet her either.
I'd heard of Mr and Mrs Malfoy but never actually met them. Although my parents were death eaters, they weren't high up enough in the ranks to attend meetings. They were just spies for Voldemort, helping to conspire against the ministry (which is corrupt enough by itself)
We watched as the platform began to clear and when Draco stood up, we saw it as our cue to leave. We followed him off the train and up to his mother.
When I laid my eyes on her for the first time, my breath hitched. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. The way her curls flawlessly fell over her shoulders and how it was pinned back perfectly. Her smile made butterflies erupt in my stomach, she looked like a movie and I was lost for words.
She finally let go of her son and she turned to me, "You must be Draco's girlfriend, Pansy is it?" I still couldn't speak, I just stared. Thankfully Pansy spoke for me, "actually, I'm Pansy. This is Y/N". The angelic woman averted her gaze back to me. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry about that. It's nice to meet you Y/N"
Still, I said nothing. I could only take in her beauty and glamour. "Dear, are you alright?" she asked, placing a slender hand on my shoulder. I shivered at the sudden contact but it brought me back to reality.
I shook my head slightly before speaking "yes. Sorry, yes. I'm fine thank you" I said quietly. I heard Draco and Pansy snigger but I chose to ignore them. She smiled softly at me, as if she was trying to work me out. I couldn't help but stare back, until her eyes met mine again.
I can't begin to describe the way she makes me feel.
"We must be leaving now. Lucius is waiting for us at home" she said almost coldly, holding her arm out for us. Pansy and Draco took it so I did the same. I was unsure of what was about to happen but I chose to follow their leads.
I was pulled into a strange portal. It only lasted a split second before we landed. Draco, Pansy and Narcissa stood on the doorsteps of Malfoy Manor as I fell to the ground. I'd never apparated before so I felt awfully sick.
I almost dropped to the floor, clutching my stomach.
"Y/N! Are you alright dear?" the pet name melted my heart. I looked up at the woman who was now crouched down beside me. I nodded slowly as she helped me up. She had a vice-like grip on my arm as if it was her life mission to keep me up. I felt weak at her touch.
