Chapter 11

Narcissa's pov :)

I felt someone grab my hand under the table, it was Y/N. "I'm just going to the restroom, I shan't be long" she announced. I squeezed her hand and she got up to leave.

I admired her as she walked out. I know that I shouldn't stare at her but, I just can't help it. She is the most beautiful girl that I ever laid my eyes on.

I carried on eating, ignoring Draco and Pansy. They were deep in conversation and I didn't want to disturb them.

It's been around ten minutes since Y/N left and I'm beginning to get slightly worried. I looked over at my son and he was still chatting with his girlfriend. I silently got up and left, they probably wouldn't even have noticed me leaving.

I made my way to the bathroom hoping I would find her... and I did.

She was curled up in a ball on the floor weeping. I rushed over to her and grabbed her. She let out a blood-curdling scream. "Shh, Y/N it's me. What's happened" I didn't let go and at the sound of my voice, she relaxed slightly.

She was shaking in my arms, I stroked her head and held her close to me. She clung on and all she could manage to say was "Lucius"

My stomach churned, what had he done? I grabbed her face gently to look at it. I could see bruises on her neck and her lip was bleeding. I wiped the blood away with tears in my eyes, how could my husband hurt her like this, she is just a girl.

"Sweetie, I need you to tell me what happened" I whispered softly, she needed me to make her feel safe. Therefore, I hid my rage from her and remained calm.

Her breathing was staggered and her eyes were streaming with tears, I had to be patient with her.

"He told me I need to leave... I have to go" she cried, scrambling to her feet. I pulled her back down and she clutched her back in pain. My eyes widened. "What's happened to your back? And you aren't going anywhere darling"

"Slammed me into a wall... I have to, or he'll.. he'll-"

"He will do nothing, do you hear me! Let me see your back please Y/N" I spoke harshly so she understood the message. Lucius is not going to drive her away from me.

She turned around and I pulled up her jumper slowly, there was a large bruise beginning to form. I traced my fingers around it and lightly pressed on her ribs to make sure nothing was broken.

"Sorry darling, I know you're in pain but I just have to check that he hasn't broken any bones" I whispered as she flinched every time I touched a sensitive spot. My heart broke seeing her in pain.

I knew that we did need to leave, there was no way she would be safe here with him.

"Narcissa. I don't know what to do" she cried. I hugged her tightly and stroked her hair, thinking.

"I have an idea, come with me" I finally spoke. She stood up and I guided her to her bedroom. "I need you to pack your things while I go and speak to Pansy and Draco. Can you do that for me?" I asked her, she nodded without saying a word.

I quickly made my way back downstairs and reentered the dining room. Draco and Pansy were still there, they were eating each other's faces off though. I cleared my throat to grab their attention.

"Mother!" Draco shouted in shock. I had to keep in my laugh as this is a serious situation I am in. "Just letting you both know that I will be staying with my sister for a while. Y/N will be going to stay with Hermione also. We will both be back soon"

"What? Why I thought things were fine now?" Draco questioned. I couldn't lie to my son but I also couldn't tell him the truth.

"Apparently not. I need some space from your father and Miss Granger sent a letter offering for Y/N to stay with her family for a while. Will you both be fine here?" It wasn't a complete lie but it wasn't exactly the truth either.

"Whatever you need mother, I love you" Draco said with a smile and Pansy also agreed. I am glad that he still has his manners and is nothing like his father, I've brought him up well.

I rushed back to Y/N's room to see that she was packed. "Where are we going Narcissa?" she asked innocently. "My sister's house" I replied.

"Andromeda? But I thought-"

"Oh. No, not that one" I said with a little laugh, her eyes widened. "You mean... Bellatrix?" there was a sense of fear in her voice. I walked to her and grabbed her hands.

"Darling, there is nowhere else we can go. I promise she isn't as bad as she is made out to be. You'll be safer there than here, plus I will be there too" she looked a little more relieved but still slightly on edge.

I can't blame her, my sister is mental but she is still family. and she would do anything for me.

"Come on, take my arm. We need to leave" and she did exactly as I said.

We landed outside her house. Just as I was about to knock on the door, I felt Y/N tug at my arm. "Are you sure about this?" she questioned.

"Yes" I replied confidently. "Wait, what did you say to Draco and Pansy?"

"They think you are staying with the Grangers. They know that I will be here, I needed to say you were elsewhere to avoid any confusion"

She nodded and took a deep breath as I knocked on the door. It took some time but my sister's husband eventually answered the door. Y/N's grip on my arm tightened as the door opened, she was clearly scared. I am here and I would never let anything happen to her again.

"Narcissa? Let me get your sister" Rodolphus shuffled away...
