"What is it we are looking for again Dray?" I asked as I looked around the room. It was filled with all sorts of strange items that I'm guessing the school needed to put into storage.
"It's a cabinet" he shouted from behind a stack of chairs. I continued to look around while keeping an eye out for a cabinet.
I couldn't believe how much stuff the school was keeping stored in this room. It's a wonder it isn't going to explode!
My eyes shifted to a large, black, wooden piece of furniture. I stood and stared for a moment before realising this was what we were looking for. "Draco!" I called out.
"Yeah Y/N" his voice echoed through the room. "I think I found it" I replied, not taking my eyes off it. Almost as if it would disappear if I stopped looking.
Draco appeared around a corner and joined me. "Yep, this is it" he said with a sigh. I turned to face him, placing my hand on his arm. "What's wrong?"
"It's just that... now that you found it, I actually have to fix this thing" I could see the sadness in his eyes. He didn't want to have to do this since it meant the dark lord would get what he wants and Dumbledore will die. (Not that it bothers me, of course)
"Dray, you aren't doing this alone. Don't forget that" he gave me a wry smile and went back to staring at the grand cabinet stood before us.
I studied it some more before something clicked in my brain. "I feel like I've seen this before" I stated, Draco let out a half hearted chuckle. "You probably have"
I turned to him, a confused look plastered across my face. "It has a twin... in Borgin and Burkes"
My mouth formed an 'o' shape as I remembered seeing it in there. "What does that mean then? Having a twin" I asked.
"It's twin is going to be the cabinet that they use to get to this one. It is a direct way of getting into the castle undetected. We just need to enchant this one and it should work" my mind trailed off at his words.
"So it's going to be like reuiniting it with its sibling?" Draco shook his head, hiding his smile. "In a way, I suppose... yes Y/N"
We laughed together for a while and it was bliss. I've missed being able to goof around with Draco like this. I suppose I've been hung up about leaving Narcissa and he with this task.
"I've missed this" I said suddenly, growing sad. Draco's laughter died down slightly too. "So have I. I'm sorry we've not been able to spend much time together Y/N"
I wrapped my arms around him tightly, he rested his hands around my waist. "Don't apologise Dray, I haven't exactly made much of an effort either"
We stayed in each others arms for a while, feeling the comfort of each others presence. I held onto that opportunity for as long as I could until it felt right to speak.
"So what exactly do we need to do to get this fixed?"
Draco took a step back from me and opened the cabinet door. It fell off into his hand, he turned around with an amused smile "well for starters, we need to make sure that this" he gestured to the door, "doesn't happen again"
I took the door from Draco and placed it up against the cabinet itself. "Draco, could you hold this steady for me?" he took over from me and held it still. "Reparo" I cast and the door connected back to its hinges.
He carefully opened the door again and it swung open and close with ease. "Brilliant! Now what?" I gleamed.
"You're brilliant, you know that right?" I blushed slightly and he continued on. "There is an incantation process 'Harmonia Nectere Passus' and it is going to take us a while to perfect"
It seemed to worry him that it isn't going to be a short task. "Hey, don't worry. We have time, plenty of it! You aren't doing this alone which could even speed up the process a little" I gave him a reassuring smile to release some tension.
"Thank you" he smiled back. "You are very welcome Dray, you are never alone" a tear fell from his crystal eyes and I slowly reached up my hand and wiped it away for him.
"Come on, we should probably leave before we are late for lunch"
He nodded, "I'll be with you in just a second, I'm going to cover this up in case anyone finds it" I agreed and left him to do that.
As I left the room of requirement, I noticed a head of black hair duck behind a torch structure, lighting up the hallways. I knew immediately who it was and my eyes burned with rage.
I walked over to where he was crouched down. "Potter" I snarled. He looked up at me, guilt ridden. "Yes Y/N?" there was a hint of fear in his voice.
"What are you doing here hm? Spying on Draco and I?" he was standing straight now but he looked small and timid. "This wasn't what it looks like!" he tried to say.
"Harry, it is exactly what it looks like. Why are you so obsessed?" I yelled. Thankfully the corridor was empty since most students were either in the great hall, their common rooms or outside.
"I'm not obsessed!" he yelled back. I folded my arms across my chest and raised an eyebrow. "Okay, I know it seems like it but I'ts just because I'm worried about you. Draco is up to something and I don't want him dragging you into it!"
I just stared at him, open mouthed. I didn't know what to say. "I'm right aren't I?" his fists were clenched. I shook my head aggressively, "no Harry, you're not right. You're just jumping to conclusions. All I ask is that you leave the two of us alone, you know nothing"
Before he could get another word in, I walked away. I'm sick of him suggesting things like this and accusing Draco. I know he only cares about me but if he really did, then perhaps he would stop going on when I ask him to!
