Chapter 37

I took Draco away from the situation and out into the forbidden forest. Narcissa was there waiting for us. "Y/N... DRACO" she exclaimed, rushing towards us. She wrapped her arms around the two of us holding us close.

"Are you both okay?" she cried.

"Yes... yes, we are fine. Snape he-"

"Snape!" Narcissa pulled back, Draco stared at her emotionless.

"He is dead mother, I almost... almost did it" Draco spat, kicking himself for not going through with it. Both Narcissa and I knew there was no way he could have lived with himself for doing it.

"But you didn't Draco" I sighed.

"I know, and that's the point Y/N. He is going to kill me" Draco spoke, Narcissa cupped his face in her hands while I took a step back to observe.

"Draco, he will not kill you. Y/N and I can assure you, everything will be fine"

"Your mother is right Draco, Snape saved you. Do you really think you would've been able to live with the guilt of killing someone?" Dray shook his head softly, he knew deep down we were both right. He is just too stubborn to fully admit it.

"I think... I think I'm just going to go to bed. Is that alright?" Draco whispered, Narcissa nodded and grasped our arms apparating us back to Malfoy Manor.

The moment we arrived, Draco took himself to his bedroom and Narcissa led me into the library. She slumped onto the couch, pulling me on top of her. I clung onto her and nestled my head into the crook of her neck.

I just wanted to feel close to her.

"I love you so much Y/N. Thank you for being there for Draco" she kissed my forehead and rubbed her hand down my arm.

"You know I would've done it either way. Draco is my best friend and I couldn't see him face this alone" I looked up at her big brown eyes and she continued to rub my arm.

"I don't deserve you"

"Of course you do" I yawned, cuddling in closer.

"Go to sleep darling, you've had a stressful day" she whispered, kissing me on the forehead once more as I felt my eyelids getting heavy.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked up, Narcissa was staring into space, stroking my hair. I reached my hand up and ran my thumb over her soft cheekbone. Her eyes darted down and she smiled, "good morning princess"

"Good morning. What time is it?" I asked sitting up.

"It's 4:45" she sighed. I examined her face and saw how tired she looked.

"Have you slept?" she shook her head. "Oh Cissy, why?"

"I wanted to make sure you were safe. You slept sound all night but I just had to be sure. You weren't 100% yourself last night darling"

"You didn't need to stay up Narcissa. You know that if I needed you I would've woken you"

"I know" she whispered, tucking my hair behind my ear. "You need to go back to school now darling before anyone notices you were gone" I sighed, knowing she was right.

I crawled over to her and placed a soft kiss on her lips, "I love you. I'll see you soon"

"I love you more"
