Why was I playing? I should be kicking them out! Well, actually I don't know if I was allowed to do that, it's technically not my house.

"SCOORRRRE!!!" Ashton yells. Ashton does a little victory dance, shaking his butt in circles.

When I play games, I don't mess around. Shit gets serious.

"CHEATER!!!" I yell. "You gave me the faulty controller. This one always loses connection and you know that!"

"Hey, you lost, just accept it," Calum shrugs.

I glare at him, "you're not even the one playing. Shut your mouth. I demand a rematch!"

"No, I'm next," Calum demands. "You guys can have a rematch after I play."

I toss the controller to Calum, "fine."

"Aww don't be so mad," Ashton softly punches my shoulder.

I kept my arms folded. I was too mad to even remember that I was feeling anxious and embarrassed and mixed emotions around Ashton. I just looked at him as a cheater.

"I'm going to grab myself a drink, I'm not offering anything to you two," I head towards the kitchen.

"Can you get us a bottle of water?" Calum yells as he focuses on the game.

"Did you not hear me? I'm not getting you guys anything," I respond.

"Please?!" he begs. "Go go go... Score!!!"

I throw a water at each of them, "okay my turn."

"Okay pretty boy, let's see who wins this time." I grab the controller out of his hands and gave him the messed up one.

"Oh, you think I'm pretty?" Ashton nudges me with his elbow. "And you're kinda hot when you're mad."

"Ew," Calum's grossed out. "Mikey wouldn't be ha--"

"--HUSH!" I was trying to focus.

Silence fell over the room and all you could hear were the clicking so of the controller.

GOAL! I won.

"Not bad. Now we're one for one," Ashton congratulates.

I smiled and jokingly flipped my hair off my shoulder.

"It's already 12:44, it's getting late," Calum mentions, "and I'm getting tired."

"Yeah I better head home now," Ashton grabs his keys and his jacket. "I had fun, see you guys tomorrow."

"Hey mind if I crash on the sofa tonight?" Calum asks.

"I don't care." I walk towards the stairs.

"Good because I brought all my stuff with me... Except for a blanket. Can I borrow one?" He follows behind. "Race you upstairs?"

I grab an extra blanket from my room and throw it at him. "Here."

"Merci." Calum walks out, but turns back, "so are you into Mikey? Or do you have a thing with Ashton?"

I was surprised at the question, "what are you talking about?"

He leans on the door frame, "well Ashton talks about you and told me stuff about you."

"Hold on, sit down," I told him.

"What? I'm not a dog," he groans.

"I mean in the chair, duhh." I make him continue, "what did he say?"

"Well..." Calum is hesitant to speak, "he told me about the first time he met you, at the party. He kinda liked you..."

"Liked," I interrupt, "as in past tense?"

"Let me finish," he urges, "and yeah, sorta. He thinks you and Mikey are becoming a little too friendly. He doesn't want to get in the way and whatever, but don't say anything about this."

I shut my lips. Obviously I won't say anything. I can't even comprehend the idea, let alone talk about it.

"But yeah, I'm disgusted by all of this. These are my friends. Why you? Why not some other girl?" He gets up and walks out. "They could do better. Goodnight."

Calum's a little snot, but he's right, why me?
