I got onto the plane with my carry-on.

"Excuse me ma'am, where is seat 27A?" I asked the flight attendant.

"It's down the left aisle, towards the center of the plane. It's a window seat."

"Thank you."

I walked over to my seat and placed my carry-on into the cabinet above. This was going to be a long flight, so I made sure everything was set and that I was comfy. Once I finished settling in, I plugged in my headphones and listened to The 1975. I closed my eye, I was all ready to go.

Minutes later I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I removed my headphones.

"Hi, could you help me for a second?"

I looked at the person speaking, he looked familiar, "sure," I said.

Once everything was organized, I sat back down. He sat next to me.

"Thanks for your help... Hey isn't your name Sherry?" He said.

How did he know my name? I guess I might have seen him before after all, but I don't remember where. Was he that one waiter who laughed at me because I pronounced "entrée" as "entry?"

"Yeah, it is. How did you know?"

"We met at Coleen's, I was that one guy who was 'Caspar's plus one.'"

"Oh! Ashton."

"Yeah," he smiled.

I was surprised to see him. I didn't expect to ever see anyone from that party ever again. I was curious to know why he was here.

"So where are you heading to?"

"Home. Australia. Specifically New South Wales," He said. "You didn't tell me you were leaving California. Where are you going?"

"The same place... I'm starting university out there."

This was strange. It was such coincidence, or was it? What if he planned this on purpose? What if he's stalking me because I didn't ever call him and he's mad about that? What if he's some kind of serial killer and I'm another one of his victims?! My mind was in paranoia mode.

"Well then, maybe I can show you around the area. I know it from inside out," he mentioned and winked.

"Haha," I awkwardly laughed. I didn't want to answer. What if I offend him by passing up the offer? I didn't want to offend a potential serial killer.

He stared into my eyes and just smiled.

He's such a weirdo, I thought.

"Well, it's been a long morning. I think I'll just go ahead and sleep till we arrive," I told him.

I turned away from him and faced towards the window. I put back on my headphones. This was going to be a long flight.
