We pulled into the drive way of my aunt and uncle's house.

"We're home!" Auntie Agnes said with glee.

I couldn't stop thinking about him- Ashton. Why didn't he say anything when we exchanged phones back? No "thank you" or "sorry" from him? And why did I freeze up and not say anything to him either? I should have thanked him at least. Whatever, it was over with.

I closed out the text and decided not to send anything.

I unloaded my things from the car and carried them into the house with uncle Kenny's help.

"Your room is upstairs on the right. We gave you the room with an on-suite. I hope you like it," he said.

We lugged all of my things up the stairs. The room was huge! It had dark hardwood floors and clean white walls. It was decorated with cute aqua blue rugs and curtains. The window was giant, nearly the size of the wall, and overlooked the backyard pool and garden. Above the king sized bed was a crystal chandelier and to the left of the on-suite was an empty walk in closet. It was a dream!

"I love it!" I hugged my uncle.

He smiled and kissed the top of my head, "anything for our favorite niece."

Downstairs I could hear my aunt calling for me.

"Jane! You have someone here waiting to see you!"

I ran downstairs to see who it was.

There in the kitchen with my aunt was Calum.

"Calum!" I yelled with my arms open wide.

We were the best of friends growing up. I remember when I was 5 and he was 6 and we'd play in the sandbox at the park in front of my aunts house. I used to make him sand pies and he would eat them.

"Sherry!" He ran over to me and jumped onto me like a baby monkey.

I dropped him and there was a loud thud, "You can't do that anymore, you're not 20 pounds!"

He laughed.

"Good to see nothing has changed between you two," uncle Kenny chuckled.

"Hey, my mums off at 4 today and your aunt Agnes is coming over, you should come too," he smiled. "I'm sure my mum would love to see you again. She missed you and your American accent."

Calum put on a pouty puppy face.

"That doesn't work on me anymore," I told him.

"Yes it does."

"Nuh uh."

"Uh huh."

"You two stop it. You two not 3 years old anymore," my aunt Agnes said.

Me and Calum stopped and laughed.

"We have some catching up to do," he said as he put his arm around my shoulder.

I missed Calum.

"So are you coming over?" He asked.

"Duhh."

"I told you that puppy face still works," he smiled.

I rolled my eyes.

"well I gotta go meet a friend right now. I just wanted to stop by and say hi. I'll see later today, promise?"

He stood at the door frame waiting for my answer.

I gave him the "duh" face, since he obviously knew the answer.

"Bye..." I said as I shooed him away and shut the door.

"That boy has been so busy lately, I hardly ever see him anymore," my aunt said as she shook her head.

"Do you know who he's meeting with?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. Probably one of his bandmates who just came back."

I had never met any of Calum's bandmates before. In fact, I never knew he was in a band until last month. I wondered when I could meet them.
