We arrive at Calum's and no one was home.

"Hello?" Ashton yells in the empty house.

There was a note on the counter, "driving my mom to Brisbane, Calum"

"Well..." He paused, "want anything to drink?"

"I need a Baileys. I wanna drown my sorrows in alcohol," I dramatically say.

"Not a good idea. Drinking doesn't solve anything," he states, "something else?"

"Just one Bailey won't hurt, please?" I beg.

He hands me one, "just this one."

I managed to drink more than just one. I talked him into letting me have 5 bottles. It was a bad idea, but I didn't care.

I started losing it. I couldn't hold myself up anymore, so Ashton carried me over to the sofa.

"Hey," I said intoxicated, "Fuck Mikey!" I flipped my middle finger and laughed.

"Stop," he said, "you're just drunk."

"No no no, I know what I'm saying. He... Mikey... I don't even like him," I fell over and lied there on the couch. "I don't want to get married."

I took off the ring and threw it at the wall.

"You need to go to bed," he carries me, "you've had enough."

I puke on his shirt.

"Yup, you definitely had enough," takes me up stairs to the guest room he was staying in and tucks me into bed.

"Goodnight," he says as he walks away and takes off the puked on shirt. "I'll sleep on the sofa downstairs."

I untuck myself and get up, "I'm not tired."

I head towards the door and trip on to Ashton. We lied on the ground; me on top of him. He was shirtless. Our faces were just less than an inch away from each other.

"Kiss me," I ask him.

I lean in and he holds my face as our lips start moving.

He stops and opens his eyes, "I can't."

"Why not? You've already started," I didn't understand.

"You're engaged," he saddens his face, "you're engaged with Mikey."

I get up. He was right. What was I doing?

I walk back to the bed and lie down, "good night."

He leaves.

It was all clear now. I wanted Ashton, I really did. He was the missing piece to the emptiness I was feeling. But it wasn't that easy, I was still with Mikey. I love the guy, but not in a way that I want to spend the rest of my life with him.

The next morning I woke up with a massive headache. I looked around, I was still at Calum's.

I walk out to the living room to see Ashton sleeping on the couch. I check around the house and still Calum and Mrs. Hood weren't back.

"Ashton," I woke him up.

"Yeah?" He said with a groggy voice.

"Could you take me home?"

"Sure," he rubbed his eyes and tried to wake himself up. "Let me just go get ready."

We sat in the car ready to leave.

"I'm sorry about last night," I say sincerely.

"It's alright, don't worry about it," he smiles.

There was an awkward silence as he let the car warm up.

"What do I do about Mikey?" I ask him. I just wanted to end the silence.

"Talk to him. Tell him how you feel and look for a compromise," he tells me. "That's the best thing I could think of."

"What if I can't think of anything to say?"

He pauses, "words will come to you when you really want someone to know how you feel."

I remembered about the gift Ashton gave me and the note he wrote inside, "I opened the gift you gave me." I didn't know how to ask, "what were you going to say?"

He didn't answer. I could tell he was thinking.
