It's Sunday morning and I head downstairs to see Calum on the couch with his arm hanging down. I walk up to his face and let out a heavy breath of my nasty morning breath.

"Wake up," I say breathy.

"UGH! That foul smell!" He rolls over and digs his face into the sofa cushion.

"Get up!" I shout.

"Let me sleep, I'm tired!" His words were muffled as he spoke into the cushion.

I let him be and went back up to brush my teeth and wash my face. I hate eating breakfast before cleaning my teeth.

I thought about what Calum said last night. I found Ashton interesting too, I wouldn't say I like him, but he has my attention. But I didn't know what to do about Mikey. He's a really nice guy and he's as cute as a button, even with that punk rock look he has going on. I looked in the mirror and tried to imagine myself with one or the other. Whatever. It's not like I'm actually going to get anywhere with either one. Plus I didn't want to, or at least that's what I wanted to think.

I walked back downstairs. I was starting to get tired of stairs, walking up and walking down. This was the most exercise I've done in a while. I'm a lazy person.

Calum's phone was buzzing, and I checked to see who it was.

"Ashton," I read. I wasn't sure if it should answer it or leave it to voicemail. I hit the green button, "hello?" Stupid, stupid sherry, why?!

"Calum?" He answered.

"No," I chuckled a bit, "Sherry, Calum's asleep still." I held my breath after every sentence. I need to play it cool.

"Oh, hey or hi, um well I just wanted to call to tell Calum that the boys and I are going to the beach today with a few other friends, and if he wanted to come?" He paused, "you're invited too."

"Okay," I thought about what to say next, "Sure. Yeah, I'll tell him. Um okay, bye." I hung up the phone quickly.

"Who was that?" Calum was beginning to wake up. He rubbed his eyes.

"Ashton," I tossed him his phone.

He yawns, "well weren't you eager to answer the phone?"

"I don't like him." I walked away. "By the way, they're all going to the beach today. Are you going too?"

He thought about it, "yeah, why not? You?"

I wasn't sure, "ehhh. I'll see."

Calum finally went back home and my aunt and uncle had just left for work. The house was empty and all to myself, just the way I like it. I could watch SNL on Netflix in peace. But after 4 episodes I was starting to get a little bored. Maybe I should go down to the beach and see what they're up to... I really need friends of my own.

I called up Calum, "are you guys down there yet?"

"I'm just about to leave my house, why? Did you decide you wanted to go?" He asked.

"Yes," I said certainly even though I was have doubts about going, "Can you pick me up?"

"I'll be there in a little," he hung up the phone.

Calum picked me up and we got to the place-- Shelly Beach. There was more than just a few friends there. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be here anymore. I felt a little social anxiety kick in. Majority of the people here were pretty, skinny, tall girls. I looked like a tree stump compared to them.

Mikey waved, "hey! You're here!"

"Yeah," I fake laughed.

I looked around for Ashton as I followed Mikey over to the fire pit where majority of the people circled around. I couldn't find him. Everyone looked so unfamiliar.

He introduced me to everyone, "this is Sherry, Sherry this is..." He begins to point at each person, "Ashley, Arielle, Claire, Danny..."

I doze off.

"So... Yeah," he finishes and puts his arm around my shoulder.

"Nice to meet you guys." I snapped back into reality.

From a distance I can see Ashton in the water with some blonde chick.

"Ooo... The water looks nice. Wanna go in?" I ask Mikey.

I honestly didn't care much for the water, I just wanted to see who that girl was and what they were up to.

"Yeah, sure." He smiles.

"Me too!" Luke yells from behind to join us. "I've been waiting to get in but no one wanted to go and I didn't want to third wheel with Ashton and Holly."

So Holly's her name... But who is she? I didn't want to ask, but I was curious to know how she and Ashton know each other. And I wasn't jealous of her either. I just didn't like the look of him and her together; they're not OTP.
